I was obviously born post 66 so I have only know Faul. I have to wonder if Faul really is that bad, if you get past the fact that he is a liar and a phony, I have to sadly admit, it was Faul I been crushing on all these years! I dusted off my band on the run vinyl, this was after listening to Denny Laine singing Go Now on CD. And I could say with certainty that some of the songs definiatley sounded like Denny was singing lead, while others sounded like Faul, because Denny is the better singer. But even with the cherade its damn good entertainment. Can we love Faul for trying to keep the Paul essence alive for us all? Alas I guess not because there has to be something more sinister in the motive. Regardless, some of the pictures of Faul, he looks damn cute! While others he looks damn freaky, frankenpaulish. Does anybody else have a little love for Faul?

Certainly I do! In some ways I just dont care who he is, Billy/Neil/William etc. As long as he is the one who makes the music - he's the man. ;D No, seriosuly, I think it would be much more worse if everyone knew that Paul died in the first place. Besides he kept the Beatles together. And I have to agree - in some pictures he is damn cute. ;D

Did you read the post where everyone posted pictures of Faul that made him look like he has sugar in his gas tank? Faul definately has different more effeminate posture than Paul "The Bull".
on another topic: I think this board is too dead to be revived, I checked out Nothing is real and its a happening joint over there.

I'm not a Faul-defender or anything, but he has tried to help animals. At least he's used Paul's name for something decent.

Faul has supported many good causes: animal rights, vegetarianism, music education, campaigning against landmines, seal hunting, Third World debt. He's certainly a very socially active man and putting Paul's name to some good use.
This is also to say nothing of the unbridled success that Paul's name has had under Faul. I mean, with the statistics and all the work Faul did for at least half of them, he certainly counts for some of them:
--29 #1 singles in the U.S. (20 with the Beatles, 9 with Wings/solo) --Involved in more #1 singles in the UK than any other artist (24 of them, 1 each solo/with Wings/with Stevie Wonder/with Ferry Aid/with Band Aid/with Band Aid 20 and 17 with the Beatles) --Only artist to reach #1 in the UK as a soloist ("Pipes of Peace"), duo ("Ebony and Ivory" with Stevie Wonder), trio ("Mull of Kintyre" with Linda and Denny as Wings), quartet ("She Loves You"), quintet ("Get Back" featured Billy Preston), and sextet ("Let it Be" with Ferry Aid) --Involved with fastest-released single in history ("Sgt. Pepper" with U2, 2005, released only 45 minutes after Live 8 performance, reached #6 on Billboard just hours later and hit #1 on many online download charts) --Played for the largest stadium audience in history in 1990 (184,000 in Rio) --60 gold discs --100 million singles sold --Dubbed "Most Successful Musician/Composer in Popular Music History" by the Guinness Book of World Records
Granted, this is all a performance by an actor. But he has achieved all this in the name of a man who was one of the few twentieth century composers to truly achieve greatness. And you know that can't be bad.

Why "the Anti-Christ of rock and roll"? Because he had success in the name of a great man who died? I think that if there is a Faul, he should be commended for his work in social activism and his achieving records in Paul's name. He put Paul's name and celebrity to good use (for the most part) and did good things for the world with them. He kept Paul's name and image alive. Who are we to cast stones?

It's an issue of morality to those who think that he did a bad thing by becoming Paul McCartney. I'm one of those few who probably thinks it wasn't bad.

re: "It's an issue of morality to those who think that he did a bad thing by becoming Paul McCartney. I'm one of those few who probably thinks it wasn't bad." Yeah, you probably are... What if they replaced your brother? No matter how great your new brother was, or what his accomplishments were, wouldn't you still be really pissed about them killing your real brother? I mean, really! Even if he wrote really groovy songs like Magneto and Titanium Man and Silly Love Songs?

Peoples, you are 100% right. So is Michelle, however. Some of the things that he is credited with are Paul's accomplishments. Some of them were credited to him because of his adopting Paul's identity. I can bet you that some of the things that he did accomplish & get credit for never would've happened if he had kept his own identity. The thing is, he is a tool for TPTB. It all looks good "on paper", but he has manipulated millions of people. Paul might have gone on & become a nobody by the time he was 40. That would've been his fate, and the natural course of things. It is unnatural to use a person's identity to accomplish an agenda that we have no way of knowing Paul would have even be interested in ! It's unfair, and unjust. Paul deserves to be recognized for his accomplishements & Faul for his. In order for this to happen, the truth has to come out concerning his death.

I believe that Faul is a decent chap - he is kind to animals, supports good causes, is talented in his own right, etc. I also think he has been trying to "fess up" for a long time (I personally think he's IAAP). That being said, it is terribly unjust what happened to Paul. Paul was a genius, imo, & probably would have taken his career in a different direction (I would like to think he would have avoided "Say, Say, Say", for instance :-P). It's so upsetting that Paul was offed (I believe) & someone else just took over his name, his car, his house, his legacy. Maybe it is a difficult situation for Faul & maybe he's a great person, but my sense of justice has been deeply offended w/ this one. I agree that Faul should be judged on his accomplishments, & Paul should be remembered & honored for his. I do not believe Faul should take credit for Paul's work - that just seems wrong to me. It is time for the Truth to come out. And you know what? I believe it is slowly making its way into the mainstream :-)

Come to think about it Faul is in violation of US Law.
Faul is also a tortfeasor, in that he is committing fraud. He is also guilty of identity theft.

Oh, for Christ's sake, will you people give it a break? Would you rather that the Beatles had stopped in their prime instead of moving on to new heights in music like "Sgt. Pepper"? No matter who was responsible for that, Paul or Faul, I'm sure you'd all agree that it would be a huge store of good music we'd lose.

"Would you rather that the Beatles had stopped in their prime instead of moving on to new heights in music like "Sgt. Pepper"?"
That's not really the point. There are larger issues involved than whether the music was heard or not. Such issues include: what happened to Paul, who was behind it, how they did it, how the public has been lied to & fooled for over 40 yrs, etc. It's a deep rabbit hole, & one that most people would probably rather not enter. Are you one of those people? Would you choose the blue pill? Not I. If I'm "one of those people," then I'm glad!

That's not really the point. There are larger issues involved than whether the music was heard or not. No sir (or ma'am), no there are not. Not on a personal, visceral level, that is. What is the one reason we care that Paul died? We are fans of the music. We feel hurt, betrayed, whatever, not just because someone was able to pull this off without our knowing, which is only natural when someone's been hood-winked--it's science and genetics and all that. We feel an emotional attachment because of the music. The music that was made, the music that may have been yet to be. And the music that was made in his name since then, both with and without the other boys. A lot of it was beautiful (Beatles), and a lot of it (solo) was mediocre but it either showed great promise or surprised and pleased the hell out of us at times. If this isn't about the music in some way, I'd love to know why you're pursuing this. I pursue it for love of the music. Nothing more. And let none of you doubt that.

Of course, this is about the music & Paul. However, it is also about other issues. This PID/PWR has the potential to blow the lid off of some very ugly TPTB tactics.

Screw TPTB. They've been bleeding and left to die for a while now thanks to music downloads, and other ways of undermining the establishment. This is about Paul. Nothing more, nothing less.

I don't care about what he did in this 44 years because he didn't do it as himself, and honestly, he's not keeping Paul alive, he killed Paul's memory by making the world believe that he is Paul, he's the one that will be remembered in the end (if the truth doesn't come out) he's not doing it for Paul or for The Beatles, everything he's doing and has done, was done for his own selfish good. Let's face it, without stealing Paul's identity he would have remained a nobody his entire life. And now Paul is no longer a genius but only a good musician 'cause now Faul is Paul, trust me, I know quite a few people that don't like Paul McCartney because of something Faul has said or done, man I hate him with a burning passion.
