The Sister Mary Abbey's ( Kary & Chris respectively ) are asking all the members of this forum to offer up prayers for the people who have lost their lives in that terrible earthquake in Asia yesterday & today. The people of that region have always held a special place in George's heart. If he was still alive today, he himself would be asking you this. He would also most likely do a concert in their benefit.
Thank you.

"syc·o·phant ( P ) Pronunciation Key (sk-fnt, sk-) n. A servile self-seeker who attempts to win favor by flattering influential people."
I think if people want to pray, they should do so... I don't think they should do it because it's what George would have wanted...

I still don't understand why he would call me that just because I posted this thread. Whose favor am I trying to gain ? I posted it because to be honest with you, the song "Bangladesh" kept playing in my head over & over again. I figured maybe someone was trying to tell me something I don't see any harm in asking people to pray for those poor souls in Pakistan & India. I do know that George cared alot about them. He did more than one benefit concert in their behalf. George was a kind & gentle man who was always willing to lend a hand.

no one sees any harm in offering prayers... well other than false hope in a magic man in the sky, but that is neither here nor there...
I think plastic just found it odd (and I agree) that anyone would require confirmation that a deceased rock star would have wanted it, for someone to pray for the thousands that died in a natural disaster...

Well, George did do the Concert for Bangladesh and I suspect he would have given a concert, were he still with us, to aide the people in getting their life's back together after that devastating earthquake.
George might have been the quiet one, but he was a very caring man.
Hells bells, the man might even done an American concert to benefit those who were devastated by Hurricane Katrina and Rita............definitely no lovely Rita Meta Maid.
How can you hope to win favors.....what favors can a dead man give you? I am sure someone will think of an answer to this one ;D

Not win favours but favour, they mean different things, but anyway it may have been a harsh word to use but you know what i mean.
