If Paul really was replaced, did the other Beatles willingly go along with it or were they forced to? And in either case does that make them villians?

A mixture of both. They willingly went along with it - at first. They had been given the impression the truth would be revealed after the last album. But that didn't happen.

They agreed before they knew what they were REALLY getting themselves into, and by the time they came to the realization, it was too late.

They were very traumatized over what happened to Paul. I highly doubt that they were in any condition to make a rational decision.
They were pretty much pushed into everything. As soon as they got their wits about them, they started leaving clues. To me, that says that they were forced to go along with it - like it or not !
