Maybe it could be John saying "sorry" to Paul. Take a look at "my" interpretation:
Jealous Guy
I was dreaming of the past (Obvious) And my heart was beating fast (Feeling guilty) I began to lose control I began to lose control (John defrauds his friend)
I didn't mean to hurt you (Obvious) I'm sorry that I made you cry (Paul defrauded by John) Oh no, I didn't want to hurt you (Obvious) I'm just a jealous guy (?)
I was feeling insecure (When Paul died) You might not love me anymore (?) I was shivering inside I was shivering inside (John's pain)
I didn't mean to hurt you I'm sorry that I made you cry Oh no, I didn't want to hurt you I'm just a jealous guy
I was trying to catch your eyes (Paul's most important face feature) Thought that you was trying to hide (What Paul saw this day) I was swallowing my pain I was swallowing my pain (John trying to be strong)
I didn't mean to hurt you I'm sorry that I made you cry Oh no, I didn't want to hurt you I'm just a jealous guy, watch out (To Faul?) I'm just a jealous guy, look out babe (To Faul?) I'm just a jealous guy
Ok, this is "my" interpretation of this song. Please feel free to let me know your opinions!!!! ;D ;D
Hey Sun King!! I've done my job!!! ;D

John triggered off the events leading to Paul & Brian's death with his infamous "We're more popular than Jesus" statement and he felt guilty over it being his responsibility. Also, he was a little jealous of Paul's power over girls.
There was also supposed to be a huge argument that flaired up on the plane going home from LA after the 66 tour, with Brian being blamed for the whole debacle with the Phillipines and the USA. So upset was Brian supposed to be that he broke out in hives. Did Paul side with Brian? It was those two that took the trip together on Sunday September 11th in a car hired at the airport.

It all sounds very plausible to me... Good job, Eggman & P.B.... Poor Paul, Brian & John. John had to live with the guilt for the rest of his life. It tore him up inside. I'm sure he had nightmares about it to his dying day !!! Love to all... Chris

Remember Chris: "Boy, you gonna carry that weight a long time..." (Abbey Road)

Somewhere I read that John once said: "As lover Paul was better than Yoko!" Please Eggman find that interview! Thank You!

Makes you wonder. Maybe 'Mean Mister Mustard' was in reference to Faul.

It seems that every song they wrote had a specific meaning. Who knows what was going through John's mind at the time. But the best way he expressed himself was in his music.

Some history on that song -
Jealous guy was written at the same time that Paul wrote Mother Nature's Son - they had a gap in the White Album that needed to be filled - as a result they both had a go individually to write a piece to fill that gap.
John's piece was not called Jealous Guy and it had a different set of lyrics - in fact the song had a nature theme like Paul's did. Apparantly after discussion they believed Paul's work to be more apropriate for the White Album, and John filed his away only to become Jealous Guy a few years later.

;D If John was talking about anyone it was Bill. I'm pretty certain that Johnny & Bill had a physical relationship there for awhile. He might've said that after it ended, just to bust on Bill. Probably after their relationship turned to caca & Bill married Linda... Paul was NOT into men. He might've experimented here & there. However, he's very famous for his escapades with women !!!! Love to all... Chris ;D

I'm sorry, but I don't buy this interpetation of lyrics in a sexual fashion - people can be jealous of alot of things that don't involve sex.
