I am going to try to find a magnifying glass and go over the back cover, but from the blowup Long John posted I see:
DUD at Beatles! (or DUO possibly someone's initials proclaiming he/she had been there)
Swim 12 0r 13-8-72 (perhaps someone's nickname and a poorly written date -- possibly a date written in the European style of putting the day first, month second)

Interesting photo there, of the old 'tradesmens' entrance' The inverted cross kinda jumps out, but the 'male slot` thing??!!.., it's a letterbox ain't it?
