The following is from an interview with Playboy with Faul and Linda in 1984. PLAYBOY: How much did John's praise mean to you when he was alive? PAUL: a lot, but I hardly ever remember it, actually. There wasn't a lot of it flying about! I remember one time when we were making Help! in Austria. We'd been out skiing all day for the film and so we were all tired. I usually shared a room with George. But on this particular occasion, I was in with John. We were taking our huge skiing boots off and getting ready for the evening and stuff, and we had one of our cassettes; it was one of the albums, probably Revolver or Rubber Soul--I'm a bit hazy about which one. It may have been the one that had my song Here, There and Everywhere. There were three of my songs and three of John's songs on the side we were listening to. And for the first time ever, he just tossed it off, without saying anything definite, "Oh, I probably like your songs better than mine." And that was it! That was the height of praise I ever got off him. Mumbles "I probably like your songs better than mine." Whoops! There was no one looking, so he could say it.Faul seems to forget that Help! came out before either Rubber Soul or Revolver. The song Here, There, and Everywhere was on the Revolver album and came out about a year after Help!. And were cassettes around in 1965? Of course, Faul completely made the above incident up since he still had his original identity at the time. He appears to be trying to make himself look good, particularly when John isn't around to verify some of his stories.

Even if he isn't Paul McCartney, he is still a Beatle. Get over it, guys, he's still alive. I can't believe you honestly believe this all. It's a hoax.

If Alex does not stop trolling, I recommend that he be banned. We don't have time to waste like this. Go ahead and ban me, it'll just further prove that this forum won't look at the other side of the argument. You guys are really just making something out of nothing.

Man, I think you guys are ignorant. Even if he isn't Paul McCartney, he is still a Beatle. Get over it, guys, he's still alive. I can't believe you honestly believe this all. It's a hoax. I speak only for myfelf: I really thanks and appreciate what Faul was doing since 1966, he made me believe that James Paul was alive.

Not to complain, Paul_Bearer, but you seem to forget that from 1964-65, the Beatles were under a rather stringent restrictive tour-and-record schedule, so they could fit two whole one-week tours into one day (metaphorically). Therefore, they could very well have made demos of future songs at the time of their writing them to get a sound down for when it came to recording. I see this as what the supposed Faul means.
If he's not the real Paul, he must have learned a lot from the other three.
"Beatles to battle!" -- Paul
P.S. Cassettes (in reel-to-reel form) DID exist then.

. Cassettes (in reel-to-reel form) DID exist then. tape existed, yes, but reel-to-reel tapes were never referred to as cassettes.

How about 4 track cassettes. My sister had a 4 track player back in the late 60's or early 70's. I remember she had one with the Beatles on it. I think the songs were from the 'Help' album. Had a picture of them on the front. All with mustaches!

Yeah, I guess by stating my opinions I was somehow making fun of people for a while, according to sources. Arguing your point in a calm way is accpetable. I can't help it if people are going to fall into a passionate rage every time they read me.

I have not yet called anyone "stupid" just gullible. All I can say is, you haven't contributed *anything*. You just name-call, and argue. It's a waste of everyone's time. If this forum were set up like Delphi (where you can click "ignore posts by this user"), you and another user here would've caused me to hit the ignore button long ago.

That is a nice feature. I use it on the trolls who hang around IMDb.
By the way, have you read ALL of Alex's posts? Surely you did to have made such a bold statement.

uh, about the interview...
i think it's entirely concievable that demos of those songs existed during "help". sometimes songs float around for years before making it onto an album.
and anyway why can't faulpaul be a bit hazy about things? assuming he's paul, by '84 he's written loads of songs that it's bound to melt together a bit. artists are never as obsessive about their own material as their fans are. i've read dylan interviews where he can't remember what song's on what album (that's dylan mind you).

why did any of you that believe in the existence of paul mccartney sign up and get an account here, just for the asking? just to point out where we're wrong?
i am, most truely, just wondering.

good question watusi. i mean, this forum isnt really to debate whether or not he's dead. its for those who accept that he's dead, and to put our minds together to figure out how to make it public. answering the same questions over and over is only a waste of time.

I'll speak for myself. I'm here because I saw the pictures and it was enough to make me seriously consider the possibility that Paul is actualy dead. However, alot of things don't add up for me and I want to make sense of it. That's why I ask questions and disagree with certain statements and assertions.
I agree that there's alot of compelling evidence, formost being the photographs.
However, I also think that alot of the other "evidence", like the supposed lyrical clues and some of the off-hand remarks Faul makes, is really very flaccid, and I assumed that most people here would appreciate some challenges in order to strengthen their arguments.
If I can be convinced, then I'll wholeheartedly join your camp!

Matt, you are right --- a lot of things here are just "thinking out loud", as everyone tries to piece this together. People interpret something and then lay it out for everyone else to take a look at.

yes matt, i wasnt saying that its not like we dont want curious people like yourself coming in here, asking questions, cuz its always good to let others understand our point of view. i guess i was more upset at people asking the same questions over and over that have been answered so many times already. i have read your posts, and i have found very inteeligent conversation coming from you. so to that, i take my hat off!

..However, I also think that alot of the other "evidence", like the supposed lyrical clues and some of the off-hand remarks Faul makes, is really very flaccid.... Yes they are! So "60IF" starts with legal facial comparison documents...absolutely not with "lyrics" clues that are the LAST page of "60IF" site. "60IF" IS NOT a P-I-D site. Because is THE FIRST "P&B-R-D" SITE THAT AFFIRMS and PROVES that: "James Paul McCartney and Brian Epstein REALLY died in fall 1966."
