What is known about Linda Eastman before she "met" Faul?
Could it be that they knew each other, or had a relationship before their 67 meeting?
She was married to a John Melvin See Jr. before she found Faul...anyone know of any pictures of her with John Melvin See Jr?

There are pictures of Linda with Paul. My best guess is she saw the difference when she met Faul later on, and used her knowledge as leveage to get closer to him . . . she obviously didn't care he was not Paul and was interested in the fame and money.

John Melvin See, Jr. is Heather McCartney's father. He committed suicide in 2000. No pictures I know of exist of him and Linda together.

Any photos of him at all? And fer crying out loud, they had a child together, they must have been fond of each other for a while, anyway. Surely there is a photo of them somewhere. Whether it can be found is another story.

Beatlestobattle, you sure on this?? John See Jr, Linda's ex-husband, is Heather's father? Looks like grounds for any number of things, blackmail perhaps? Or keeping family secrets.

Linda's biography from IMDB (Internet Movie Database):
Biography for Linda McCartney Birth name: Linda Louise Eastman
Spouse: Paul McCartney (12 March 1969 - 17 April 1998) (her death) John Melvin See Jr. (18 June 1962 - June 1965) (divorced) 1 child
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Trivia Daughter from her first marriage, Heather.
Three children with Paul McCartney: Mary, Stella and James.
A top photographer whose pictures of rock stars in the 1960s led to her meeting her future husband, Paul (billy from 1997).
Oscar and Grammy nominee for co-writing the theme song of 'Live and Let Die (1973)' with her husband.
Along with Paul McCartney and Denny Laine, performed with the group Wings through the 1970s.
A dedicated vegetarian who founded her own successful range of frozen veggie food in the early 1990s.
Mother of fashion designer Stella McCartney who works for the French house of Chloe.
Took a lot of flak for her ability (or lack thereof) on keyboards; she played along with husband Paul's bands because he wanted her there, as with John Lennon's making Yoko Ono his musical partner. A late starter, taught mostly by Paul, Linda knew her limitations on keyboards; before going back on the road in the 1990s, she took a winter off to build up her chops. Nonetheless, in her own words, "there's high-schoolers who could do better".
Actually found John Lennon the most appealing of the Beatles, when they first came on the scene, but liked Paul better in person after they'd met. (She and John got along adequately in private, but took occasional barbs at each other and their spouses, in the media.)
Occasionally hinted that she was related to the Eastmans of Eastman-Kodak fame, but her photography career was coincidental. Her father 'Lee Eastman' and brother John Eastman were New York show-business attorneys... and her father changed the family name from its original Epstein. (This wasn't lost for a moment on John Lennon or Allen Klein, who marvelled at the exchange of the late Brian Epstein for another would-be manager of the same name.)
Flirted with girl-group singing with school friends in the late 1950s, but didn't make anything of it.
Linda was the only photographer invited to a The Rolling Stones outing, and she boasted Eric Clapton as an occasional babysitter for daughter Heather.
Linda's line of vegetarian foods made her independently wealthy, in the years before her death.
