Pardon me for my ignorance ...but was Chet Flippo´s "Yesterday unauthorized biography of Macca" discusses here? . I don´t know if he got some clues or something? I just read some quotes made by him but that´s all. If someone did it, please send me to that forum. Thanks.

I read some extract from the book that Im looking for in wich Chet Flippo says: "When Linda´s father die, Faul don´t let her go to see him (her own father) and that´s something not weird coming from him(Faul) becuase when Jim Maccartney pass away he not even feel sad and just go in tour instead of go to the funeral of old Jim"
Any opinion..?

An opinion, maybe he would feel uncomfortable playing this act one more time, like he did at brother Michael's wedding. Funerals always bring out people who haven't seen you in a long time, and stories get traded.. "Hey remember that time you and Mikey did...(whatever)" No, by mutual decision on both sides it would not be a good idea.
NO ONE misses their father's funeral, and not when there's no good reason anyway.

According to that theory, Linda was probably fully aware he wasn't Paul, so she went along with his avoiding chance encounters with "old acquaintances". That's consistent with her learning of Paul's replacement at that party mentioned in the NYT story, before she even met Faul. My theory is that her knowing he wasn't Paul bonded her to Faul, giving him someone he could confide in about the difficulties being a life-long impersonator.

Power2The People, that sounds totally credible. I've always felt that Linda knew all along that he wasn't the original Paul McCartney. I don't know what STORY was circulated explaining Paul's need to be replaced. One can only wonder what she actually knew concerning the whole mess

VCD, I did read Chet Flippo's book. I read that book before discovering this forum. In fact, for awhile I went bonkers reading any and all books written about Paul McCartney. Apparently, something was leading me to question and wonder about Paul's being dead.
That part about not going to his dad's funeral and doing a concert tour instead made me pretty much decide for the real Paul being dead. NO ONE MISSES THEIR OWN FATHER'S FUNERAL. In the book they played it down about Paul's not being good at facing unpleasantness. BS! You would go to your dad's funeral come hell or high water.....and fans would understand you cancelling an engagement under the circumstances.
