sister...my sister in law ran into "faul" in nyc...2weeks ago early sept..2005 she said he was on a cell looked happy ..and was anything but long legged,,,she said he was slight.."her term" probably somewhere around 5ft 10 to 5ft 11 was noticed by a few peopel shook their hand then got out of there.. a dream come true for me but i wasn't there.... so his long legs and lankiness have disappeared over the years i guess// this is from someone who walked by him///not some one looking at baby or kids pictures

Although I don't really like the height/build aspect of PID, i must say that from the age of about 50, people begin to shrink etc, as we know very old people tend to be smaller (on average).
Bear in mind JPM would be 63, he might not be that small, but if (as commonly believed) Faul is at the very least a few years older (he may be as old as 73), he may have "lost" 2 or 3 inches.

Two or three inches!? I'm no expert, but I think the maximum "shrinkage" for most people is about 3/4 of an inch!
