The mirror printing on the Sgt. Pepper drumskin (1 ONE IX ^ HE DIE) is of course, one of the most well-known clues. This page about the album features the original design for the drumskin: You can see that the "LONELY HEARTS" text is slightly italicized and the Y and R are printed such that they would not have reflected as an X and D even if not italicized. So it is rather apparent why the drumskin was redesigned. (I don't have decent graphic-manipulation software at the moment, I'm sure someone else could illustrate if they are so inclined.)

In the hoax rumor back in the Sixties, the "1ONE1 X HE DIE" clue was consider to mean three Beatles (1, ONE, 1) and the 'X' to be crossing out Paul as being a real Beatle. "HE DIE"...well, that's obvious.
It could be an alternate consideration for the clue.

I'm trying to work out which songs Paul sang on Sgt. Pepper. I'm sure that fixing a hole and she's leaving home were him. are there any others? Jae, can I help you? I have a doubt. Have you read ALL "60IF" pages? Please look at this list

But this just seems to get weirder - why would there be the need for someone to imitate ringo singing A Little Help, rather than just having ringo sing it himself? Not "someone" but Bill on person! Please look at song's words meaning....

it was Bill's plea for acceptance- but to divert suspicion he sang it as Ringo? Oh yeah!

What reason is there to believe that Ringo didn't sing With A Little Help from My Friends? Don't see why he couldn't have.

What reason is there to believe that Ringo didn't sing With A Little Help from My Friends? Don't see why he couldn't have. That could be right. But...let's compare the voices: A Little Help From My Friends (Lennon/McCartney) <---> Octopus's Garden (Starkey) and A Little Help From My Friends (Lennon/McCartney) <---> Don't Pass Me By (Starkey) ...Hey! Has Ringo sung EXCLUSIVELY songs wrItten by himself?

He sung these songs:
- Boys - Honey don't - Act Naturally - What goes on * - Yellow Submarine - With a little help from my friends - Don't pass me by * - Good night - Octopus' Garden *
Those with the * were written partially or totally by him.

Well, I don't want to start a discussion, but I really think that Ringo's voice is unique. And "With a little help..." is sung by the one and only Richard Starkey.
