It has been rumored, as you all will know; that Paul had either Bell's Palsy, or a variation on it, causing him to sing slightly out of the side of his mouth. I'm not sure whether i have seen Faul do this or not - maybe a good avenue of discussion to follow??

Well it was rumored to be so at the time. Look at early videos - hard days night for example - and he does seem to be singing out of the side of his mouth. Yes it can be a way of controlling your voice but this just looks like a mild paralysis on one half of his mouth, not that he's doing it intentionally.

Bell'sPalsy is of limited duration. At least it was for me. I had it for 2 or 3 weeks in high school. The right side of my face had a weak, well sag to it for a long time. When I am super tired it can show a little, but basically it goes away.
I think it is caused by one very specific virus that attacks one very specific nerve conjunction in the cheek area, usually just one side or the other. Speech is comically slurred for 14-21 days. Total restoration is normal, I think. There can be slight residual change of cheek contour, i.e., the nerve controlling the smile and cheek muscles can have a small on going damage, seldom very noticeable.......

faul reproduces EVERYTHING paul did to the point that sometimes it looks as if he is mocking "himself". sometimes, faul exaggerates so much the gestures that... it's like when you do a caricature, ie. you exaggerate the most "visible" and "personal" features. like movement of the head, lips, etc etc etc...
i don't see ringo moving his head as he did in the beatles (unless it's to mock)... and that is so, because people also change movements. noone will keep on talking and singing and moving exactly the same as he did 30 or 40 years ago.

:oHere's a photo of J. Paul that I found. I thought it looked odd. Almost like he'd had a stroke. One side of his face is sagiing. It's the left side. Here's the photo: I think it's quite obvious that something's going on with the left side of his face... :oWell, maybe something's going on with comcast. Hopefully, it'll open later... Love to all... Chris

LongJohn - Look at a selection of footage of paul singing early sixties, hard days night contained several scenes where this was visible i believe. Cannot give you an exact reference because, quite frankly i cannot remember. This Bell's Palsy business was well known at the time and its usually accepted the Paul had/has got the palsy. Just look for him signing out of the side of his mouth from early stage performances ;D ;D
Hope this helps
