Honestly don't think it exists. I have Thirty Days and it ain't on there....my guess is that it would've been done on the 31st during the sessions for LAWR and LIB.....also Paul skips the piano bridge before the solo on that one - and of the tons of takes I have of LIB, that NEVER happens...so could it be an edit of a real "no sorrow" version?

The words on the original 45 are: "whisper words of wisdom, let it be"

I don't know what your talking about, on mine I think it has the whole thing. Its about 15 seconds longer than the version on CD. I'm not sure if I missed something, but in mine John is playing a 6 string electric guitar. I can't see anyone playing bass.

John is playing a bass but it does look like a guitar.....Fender made them for a while in the 60's. And no, you don't have the whole thing if your source is the officially released movie. Take 27A is the one that is always used for CD's; the solo on "Naked" is the original, and the other two were recorded by George later on in the studio during Spector's production of the original album. The one in the movie is Take 27 B, or alternatively Take 28 if you prefer; since 27A is a complete take. What I am talking about is the fact that in the released versions of 27B, the PIANO bridge, before the ORGAN bridge which leads to the solo, is cut out and replaced with another "let it be" , making that particular chorus have three, the third one being added during production...I just couldn't understand why they did it. ;D ;D I talk too much...

Also, an invaluable resource for a musician fan of the beatles which could give you some more info on that bass john used... beatlesgear.tkEDIT: Forgot to mention that these things are f**king rare....no other way to describe them. They'll go for 3-5 thousand if you can find one.

Ahh yes, I see what you mean. Well, even without the piano bridge its a great version. As for Johns bass, it is obviously a bass now that I look at it, but I don't see why he had a six string bass when I know for a fact four strings work. Anybody know the reason? He could've just taken a hofner like P(F)auls.

I do know that he didn't seem to like playing it, despite the fact that he played it even during jams like Rip it up/Shake rattle and roll, and other rock stuff. My best guess is that since he was so unfamiliar with the bass he wanted something that at least felt like a 6 string. EDIT: Just to make sure I was clear about the piano bridge, it definitely was played, I have the original take. It's just that when it was released, they took it out and added another vocal line.

Hi! You can find this version of Let It Be on a disc titled Unsurpassed Masters Vol. 5.
I have it. The whole disc is cool, there are unreleased versions of Something, A Huge Melody (Pts 1 & 2). It's basically Abbey Road outtakes, with some Let It Be outtakes at the end of disc.
