"Mum's" the word on what he was up to?
"Mum?"
As in, "the Queen Mum?"
Aha!
Elizabeth I.
Who has now passed on.
It all go back to her, doesn't it? DOESN'T IT?!!!!!!!
Could it be because.............
William is her secret, never revealed before----------SON?
Making him a sort of royal blood, but hidden from view.
Not exactly "san greal", more like "Sang Beatle."
Prince Wiliam Hanover (Saxe-Coburg-Gothe.)
Not Sheppard-----Hanover. Hanover. Hanover.
Not exactly a secret threat to Rome, though.
Aha!
Now, the latest is that the DaVinci Code book's dust cover supposedly has the letters "istherenohelpforthewidowsson" hidden away but discernable to the curious. Certain websites propose this sentence to be some kind of a masonic call in distress. I don't comprehend how that functions, but anyway, going with that theory, the movie "Help!"-------
may be an abbreviated one word version of the same, possibly.
This theory seems uncorrelated to anything we've derived so far, but in time we may stir thru and discover how fabulously it could apply.
Stir, everyone, stir. Simmer, cover for 10 minutes, reduce heat, stir again, and pour over your 6 fresh, 1/2 pound steamed ocean perch filets. Top off with diced scallion, a lemon wedge, green garnish and warm walnut compote.
Leftovers may be used as a general overnight face-moisterizer/anti-wrinkle cream. The best part of which is that it's simple pillow-licking good.

Someone on NIR has pointed out how pasty pale Bill is for someone who has spent time out in the East African sun.
