Try this:
Harrison was sick of FAUL getting all the credit (& money) for the endless stable of ghostwriters & session musicians; and felt justified in bringing in Clapton as his collaborator.
This went on past Guitar/Weeps...
Clapton worked on Something -- Harrison's only BEATLES A-side; which quite a lucrative piece of real estate. It is acknowledged Something was "written at Clapton's"
Clapton also collaborated on Here COmes the Sun -- it is even admitted part of the tune is lifted from the Harrison(pseudonymous)/Clapton Cream single Badge.
After several decades, it is now admitted Clapton also played on All Things Must Pass triple-LP
So, after the Concert for Bangladesh in 1971, Harrison is subject to several death threats.
Harrison doesn't dare take to the stage again until 1974. As a security precaution, Clapton made up to look like Harrison, plays some of the dates. Any assassasins couldn't be sure who they were killing. Surely a disaster if they killed Clapton.
They successfully complete the tour, but afterwards the secret services set upon Clapton, breaking his nose and fingers to make sure it never happens again.
As a result, Clapton gets a new look and a "slow hand." Harrison retreats from the public.
