As much as I wholeheartedly believe that Paul McCartney is dead and was replaced, how will this story end? Will the truth ever officially come out, or are we going to mire in never-ending speculation and frustration? What are your thoughts?

I think its inevitable that it will officially come out. Unlike the so called rumors back in 67 this isn't going away. We have been gathering evidence for months now and what started off as 4 or 5 of us discussing this on the old board its now 42 members and counting... ;D

well, the truth already has come out. we are all talking about it, right? but, on a widescale, i think that after some important people die, it will turn into a big thing on the news.

Hi, I am new I'm just reading the whole forum, the sources and taking everything in. With respect to the truth coming out; don't you think the admission that Paul McCartney was replaced by an imposter in 1966 would simply compromise the credibility of government, law and press too much? Sure, there are clumsy cover-ups all the time - we are going through one right now in the UK with the Iraq weapons dossier and the puzzling death of a related MI6 scientist - but these things tend to just drift away even when there is clearly compelling (conclusive?) evidence to support the idea that all is not what it seems. Just look at the assasination of Kennedy - it's pretty obvious to any intelligent person that something weird went on, but surely there could never be any official admission of a cover-up because it would compromise the percieved integrity of so many institutions. Better to just let those who want to believe in the official line do so. People can deny the most blatant facts if they want to badly enough - as we all know. Personally, I would tend to think that any kind of formal admission that Paul McCartney died in 1966 must be out of the question - even if maintaining the facade becomes absurd. There's the whole credibility of governments and, well, the idea of "accepted truths" and defence of "don't be stupid!" to defend.

Remember the end of the story of "The Emperor's NEw Clothes". The king himself was the last to realise what everyone else already knew...

Hi jae,
Actually, I didn't mean to suggest for a moment that anyone is obliged to continue the pretence of Faul. I just wanted to say that I thought any official admission of the truth was unlikely, given that governments aren't in the habit of revealing conspiracies - it would compromise their credibility too much.
We can of course hope. I'm pretty sure the only way it could be done was if the present government could distance itself from events in some way. They would surely have to use some organisation / individual as a scapegoat and claim thay they never knew - or had only "exposed" the cover-up recently. When governments have to come clean on something, that is usually how it's done.

Uberkinder looks a bit younger than some of us might be so I say let the chips fall where they will. Surmise here that one filled in for the vocals, and the other one we see who plays the piano screaming 'judie judie judie judie judie yeah yeah yeah yeah yeaaaaah yeaaaahhhhh yeaaaaaahhhhhhh will pay the piper as we all must, just a little sooner as he is 71 by now, and looking every day of it too.

....and the other one we see who plays the piano screaming 'judie judie judie judie judie yeah yeah yeah yeah yeaaaaah yeaaaahhhhh yeaaaaaahhhhhhh..... OMG, Revolver, that is sooo funny that you said that. We were watching "Trilogy of Terror" the other night, and when the little Zuni Fetish Doll started screaming its gibberish while chasing Karen Black, my husband said "Hey, that sounds like Faul!" -- we were listening to "Maybe I'm Amazed" earlier that day, and he said "what the hell IS that?!" when Faul got to the "screaming" part..... ;D
