Hi, I am a firm "undecided leaning towards skeptical" on PID. Howver, I just saw Faul live at Glastonbury festival and made a few observations:
1) What the hell is going on with his speaking voice? Really strange changes in pitch, it sounds nothing like a liverpool accent, or any other kind of accent. He kept speaking in strange "funny" ways to cover it up, but he sounds completely bizarre.
2) Absolutely no close-ups of his face on the big screens. This was a big givaway. Every other act on that stage had the camera trained on the performer's face most of the time - it's really what those big screens are for. For Faul we got a whole body view all the time. No face close-ups whatsoever. Did anyone see the TV coverage? Was it the same?
3) There was a different Pyramid Stage layout at the front this year, with the crowd at least fifteen feet from the stage at all times, held back by barriers in a kind of semi-circle arrangement. This was new for this year. Very suspicious.
4) Lack of stage mobility. I watched his physical mannerisms very closely - he does not seem at all comfortable walking or moving around. He seems older in person than you would think. His body seems a lot older and more frail than you would expect.
5) The official programme sold at the end of the festival contains only one photo of Faul, and it has clearly been heavily touched-up. I am not generally a conspiracy theorist but I can spot a touched-up photo. It is quite ridiculous - they've made him look about thirty.
6) The singing was very good and very like Paul sounds on record. If this chap is indeed an imposter, I can clearly see why he was chosen from a musical point of view.
So there you have it. Did anyone else go or see it on the telly? What did you think?
