I was looking at some Faul lyrics, and it really struck me how much he seems to be giving clues in his songs, even when it's only a title, or a simple phrase or two. For example:
TEMPORARY SECRETARY
(Faul)
Mister Marks can you find for me
Someone strong and sweet fitting on my knee
She can keep her job if she gets it wrong
Ah, but Mister Marks I won't need her long
All I need Is help for a little while
We can take dictation and learn to smile
And a temporary secretary
Is what I need for to do the job
I need a temporary secretary
Temporary secretary
Temporary secretary
Temporary secretary
Mister Marks could you send her quick
'Cause my regular has been getting sick
I need a temporary secretary
Temporary secretary
Mister Marks I can pay her well
If she comes along and can stay a spell
I will promise now that I'll treat her right
And will rarely keep her 'till late at night
I need a... (blah, blah, blah)
(end)
The song doesn't really have the words 'blah, blah, blah'.
I just ended the lyrics there, because as far as I can tell,
the significant clue here is that somebody served as a 'temporary secretary'.
I am reminded of the conversations we had about Paul possibly becoming a woman, and working as a secretary for Apple.
Btw, does anyone know who 'Mr. Marks' is?
Another song with apparent clues from Faul:
USED TO BE BAD
(Faul)
I used to be bad
But I don't have to be bad no more
Yeah, I used to be bad
But I don't have to be bad no more
Well ain't no doubt about it, people
It's something you can't ignore
Well, I ain't good looking
People, you know I've been up on a shelf
Yes, I know I ain't good looking
And I've been put up on the shelf
But I got a sweet disposition
I like to enjoy myself
I used to be bad
(And blah, blah, blah) (end)
Two messages here: Paul (or Faul) used to be bad
and, He's no longer 'good-looking'.
Why? Because he has 'joo-joo eyeballs'? And was he a criminal?
So here's what I'm getting at: There's probably a lot from Faul that we've ignored in our hunt for clues which, put together, could tell us quite a bit!
So the purpose of this thread will be for people to post things they've picked up from Faul's songs,
in hopes that we can cover new ground in our detective work.
Posters don't need to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that what they've discovered is the truth, or relevant, but as long as it's a reasonable suggestion of a clue, that should suffice.
I'm "Awaiting On You All". Ooops, that's a George song!
But let's see what we can find out. ;D
