I was just watching it. They flash all kinds of scenes of people & things during it. As John sings " some are dead & some are living "... Wellll - as he sings dead, they show a photo of Paul & as he sings living it flashes to a photo of Faul... Fluke - I think not... At the end when he sings " in my life, I love you more "... Again, they flash a photo of Paul... I wonder who put together the video for that Curious as always... Chris

Also, on the exact moment he hits the line "some have gone..." it shows this oddly sentimental slow motion shot of Paul doing his big smile. That blurry black and white shot on the teeth page I put up for Eggman is a capture of this. And then after "And some remain." it switches to a shot of Faul, though not right away; they couldn't be to obvious about it. If this weren't a clue, you'd think they'd reserve that line for a shot of Brian, but instead we see a young happy Paul. www.anycities.com/user/uberkinder/teeth.html

Thanks, Andrew !!!! I'll always feel that if Paul had lived, John could've been so much more !!! He was so brilliant. Could you imagine what wonderful music he would've written if he hadn't been so tormented & angry for all those years Love to all... Chris ;D

Actually, what version are you watching, Chris? In my version, which I assume is from the dvd anthology, it shows Ringo and George on the "some are dead" line. Is this another version with an even better clue?

Actually , you were right Andrew. I just watched it once & then came over & posted that. Alas, my poor old brain ( no doubtedly damaged from my teen years & pot smoke !!! ) made me misremember it. I saw it again this morning & saw exactly what you described. When john sang some are gone, they did a slow motion pan of Paul with that beautiful big smile of his... There's one other time that they have the camera right on Paul when John says something ( that could be a clue ). I can't remember what line, but it's when they show The Beatles seeming to be waling backstage. They show one at a time as they walk past the camera. As Paul is walking by, John is singing something reminiscent... I'm going to watch it again & write what... Ahhhh - to be young again... ;D Luv to all... Chris

A very upset teen in a womans' body. I just finished viewing some of the videos that I have. Some of them seem pretty old, The Beatles, " I want to hold your hand ", other older songs. I could immediately see that something was amiss with Paul's face. I don't know where these videos came from, but it looks like his nose has been made longer & his cheeks have more crease in them... Has anyone else noticed this I feel like I'm losing my mind. How could they alter old tapes like that This whole thing is REALLY starting to upset me. It looks like they've gotten pretty far in touching up the old films to make Paul look more like Faul... I looked at Paper Back Writer ( the video ) & he still looks like Paul... How can they do this ?? A very distraught... Chris

Sun King is of the opinion that the Paperback Writer video was altered, but I have to disagree. Paul looks so unlike the image they've made for him, couldn't they have done a better job if they did alter it? I think his problem with the eye-spacing may be an illusion due to Paul's weight, but then we may be watching two different versions. I know a few of the ones I have are taped from mtv, maybe before the anthology was even made.

I just compared Paul from Help !!! with the Paul in the Paperback Writer Video. It looks like it was made around the same time. Paul's hair was the same length. Same face. I froze the screen on him, in the video. You could see the correct eye spacing. It was Paul & he looked sooooo sad... You have no idea how hard this is for me. I spent 3 hours cleaning bathrooms at my mom's house ( she has 3 of them, one VERY big )... As I was cleaning I was listening to a CD with all kinds of stuff on it. Beatles, McCartney, Lennon. I was either crying while Paul sang Michelle & Yesterday, or I was crying over John singing Starting Over & Beautiful Boy... Am I a mess or what Chris My husband definitely thinks I've gone insane...

Yes you are. And it is probably the fact that Paul died. Sometimes the truth hurts.

My 1st post today, is about what I said yesterday concerning this video. I just watched it, & I saw exactly what I was referring to. The line is " Of all my friends & lovers, there's noone capares with you." Exactly as he says you, the camera is on Paul. Walking with them all behind stage. It's perfectly synchronized... John loved that man... I have another very important post that I'm going to make right now in the Paul vs. Faul section... Ta, Ta !!! Chris ;D
