I don't remember if we touched this song in the old forum but I want to make some observations in this verses: Yer Blues My mother was of the sky (Paul's mother was dead) My father was of the earth(Paul's dad was alive) But I am of the universe (Obviously James Paul) And you know what it's worth (To Faul) I'm lonely wanna die (Last minutes of Paul's life) If I ain't dead already Ooh girl you know the reason why (Paul has an impostor= Faul) The eagle picks my eye (Animals eating Paul's body. Sorry!!!) The worm he licks my bone I feel so suicidal (Paul wishing die at last to stop his suffering. Sorry!!!) Just like Dylan's Mr. Jones Lonely wanna die If I ain't dead already Ooh girl you know the reason why (Same as above) This is my interpretation of this verses!!! Thanks!!!

i don't see that in the song. here's my understanding: john's depressed. he's doing loads of acid. he's meditating a lot, he's contemplating consciousness and death, he's experiencing dislocation of the soul and alienation, "just like dylan's mr. jones". if you listen to bob dylan's "ballad of a thin man" you'll hear similar themes.
this is all very interesting but i personaly think most of the lyric interpretations being presented here are farfetched.
