"The song is 'Rinse the Raindrops' from the Driving Rain album and it appears 3.39 minutes into the song." (Source- Member-Harb)
"All the way, Paul is dead". . is it nothing, or is it deliberate, but only to add a little mystery. He can't have forgotten the side effect of those clues being on the albums way back.. increased record sales. Could it be a conscience thing? Does he really wish he could just cut the crap & be Bill again, or maybe he's just havin' some fun with the PID'ers & doesn't really care. I haven't thought about the intentional commercial aspect of planting a little jewel like this. That makes sense in this case coz that "btw...pid" sure isn't hidden very well.... it's just right there. Ya don't have to play it backwards or anything." (Source-Member-JoJo)
"I honestly believe, that Bill is in fact growing tired of being Paul and also has developed a conscience about it, more specifically a guilty conscience. This has been growing for awhile. That's one reason why he is leaving clues himself and also another reason why he is going out of his way to give himself, i.e. Paul, credit for so much of the songwriting in the early Beatles stuff". "If the current Paul is indeed Bill, then I can only assume how he feels by placing myself in his shoes. If I was him, the guilt would begin to rot away at my soul. Oh, at first it would be great fun to play a world-famous rock star that women adore (the later Beatles years). Once the band breaks up, despite my best efforts to keep them together, I would suddenly realize I had to make it on my own in this persona. Suddenly, the game wouldn't seem so much fun, and I would face great anxiety at being "trapped inside these four walls" (early solo career and Wings). After proving myself with sales, and doing the gig for well over a decade, I'd begin to relax into the role (late '70s throughout the '80s and '90s).
There would come a point though when the name Paul McCartney wouldn't carry much contemporary weight. Oh, sure, I was part of the greatest band of all time, but the kids today could care less, and the sales of my music reflect that. More distressing, however, would be that I was getting up there in age without many good years left. My best days are behind me, which causes me to reflect back on them quite a bit... and I feel incredible guilt and shame. Sure, I'd try to justify my role in it all, but what of the man I replaced? What of the hereafter that I will soon become a part of? It would begin to scare the bejesus out of me.
Of course, that's me. Paul/Bill might still be having fun with it all."(Source-Member-Wings)
"It could be that after 38 years Bill wants to be Bill for what ever time he has on this earth.
Also he is 10 years older than Paul. So how long can he continue looking 10 years younger now that he is a senior citizen". (Source-Guest-Austin)
