I think I might have found a clue buried under all the noise in Only a Northern Song! For a long time I've suspected that there might be clues buried in that song, because the lyrics are so strange and it's almost at a Revolution 9 level when it comes to strange background noises. There's a whole lot of noise, and a lot of talking and moaning towards the end of the song, which I'm sure many of you have been suspcious of, as it's hard to determine what is being said. However, with modern technology, I believe we can fish something out of the song. People have done it with Revolution 9, so why not with this George Harrison masterpiece? First, if you have the song at hand (you'll need headphones for this, and preferably with the volume loud), and you are able to play it on your computer, listen carefully to what George is saying from 2:47 to 2:51. "Our poor Paul's a cadaver now" Heard it? It may be hard to hear normally, but here is a cleaned up version (which is how I discovered it originally; I removed as much of the music from the song as I could using a wave editor): www.geocities.com/judeisdead/cadaver.mp3

Welp, I reckon no one cares about brand new clues 'round these parts...that or everyone thought it was rubbish.

sometimes it takes a while for people to check things out Jude. Dont get discouraged. Your discovery depends on when the song you have was released. A lot of the songs that have been rereleased have been changed and edited, so it would be useful to know which copy you are listening to. I dont have the equipment or the programs to check stuff on songs, so I usually just read these posts. I did find your post very interesting. Thanks

Thank you for your reply, Jilli. I was listening to an original copy of the song, but I doubt that it was changed for the CD release if anyone wants to check it out there. What's interesting to me is that so many clues people find in the songs are backwards messages, but this is actually a statement made forwards that was obscured behind the noises and the music. And you're right, I shouldn't get discouraged. It's just that I was really excited about finding something, and now it's been four days.
