DZ's UK Singles thread reminded me of the Red and Blue release...an obvious division in the music, but with cover artwork designed to blur them together. The covers they used, Red from "Please Please Me" session, Blue from "Get Back" session: And here are alternate poses: Interesting choice of photos...

Moped:
EXCELLENT!
If you notice on the "Red and Blue" James Paul head was enlarged while Billy's one was shrinked....

Thanks BP and I didn't see that before...looking at Red, JPM looks like he's been enlarged and moved down...his arm position on the rail doesn't look right at all, he seems disembodied, floating there. The Get Back shoot is completely suspicious. My theory: photos as shown above are in reverse sequential order. Bottom two: Both in exact same pose, shift in camera angle. It needs to be worked on... Intermission: John and George change shirts, and Bill has a change in hair bangs. Top two: They come back and pose in the exact same position, photographer directs Bill to tilt his head back more. Top photo (final product) is doctored, or Bill moved his head back (further away), to tweak the shrinking effect. PPM, on the other hand, is natural and animate...the Beatles and photographer having fun, nothing more.

Notice they didn't include blackbird, because they didn't want to put it in with faul songs!

Except for the "Very Strange" part on Penny Lane, JPM is totally absent on the blue album. I wonder if there were legalities involved, or they were saying without saying? Here's my Get Back cover, same as #2 above with different words. There's also 12 other songs, not 9. Bill obscures his chin in every shot, shortening his visage.

Hey No probs Plastic, we all make mis-steaks.. For instance, I forgot to include A Day In The Life from the Blue album as a JPM song..oops!
Pepper was the divider methinks.

It reminds me of the red and blue pills in The Matrix movie
Red represents the true reality/truth Blue represents the fake/dreamworld/ignorance
