This isn't "fakery" (I love the word) it's two different pics taken at different times in the performance, his face is at a different angle in them, its far from "fakery"

S.K. - why is this fakery

Where is this "vintage" footage from? It looks like a copy of a copy of a copy. Its blurry and the color is bad. Are you saying that you have the original tape or film of this performance. If so, where did you get it? It seems to me that "Anthology" really does have access to vintage material and uses it. The second picture looks more "vintage" than the first.
WMWY is right, it is from different angles and is in no way fakery.

sk, could you tell me at what moment during the hey jude performance the "anthology"-picture was taken? the first picture is from a sequence at +/- 0:55 min's ("and any time you feel the pain..."). for 4 seconds, faul's profile is visible against a black background. the second profile sequence occurs at +/- 2:20 till 2:30 (and don't you know that it's just you, hey, jude, you'll do, the movement you need is on your shoulder) in the mpeg i have, but now one of ringo's pearl/silver drums is in the background. there are a couple of other profile sequences, but they are zoomed out and filled with other people.
in other words: the sequence at around 0:55 is the one that the first shot is taken from, but i can't seem to find the exact frame within this sequence that sort of matches the "anthology"-shot. not only couldn't i find the frame that matched the look from his eyes, the sideburns also differ. could you please indicate that this "anthology"-shot is indeed the same frame from the same sequence or - if not - replace it with one that is? i've still got to buy the anthology-series, otherwise i could've made the comparison myself. but unfortunately, i haven't yet. so, i'll just ask.

Delta I wish I could help you. Unfortunately, what you wrote looks foreign to me. I'm sure that S.K. or P.B will get back to you on it soon...

If you look on Ebay, you'll see an occasional sale of Beatle promo videos, and one thing I noticed is that there are 2 or 3 versions of Hey Jude listed oftentimes. Certainly in the Anthology version it's obvious that more than one camera was running at all times, so there may be different versions of the same video out there, using different footage from differing cameras at differing times in the video. (if that makes any sense, sorry)

beatled, you may be right. but if we want to show that for anthology the footage was tampered with, we'd better use two similar frames, just like the vhs- and dvd-frames from "help!" ( xoomer.virgilio.it/james_paul_mccartney/faking.html). the two frames from "hey jude" posted above, are not the same frames IMO. so basically, i ask(ed) sk to post two similar frames from the two sources he used. that's all. i can see the differences, but other people may say "yeah, but he turned his head a little bit, so it's useless". and i can't blame them saying this and it sure doesn't help the case. as for my first post in this thread, i tried to explain my findings from examining the "hey jude"-video that i have myself: that i wasn't able to find any frame in this video that matched the "anthology"-frame from sk.

i just found sk's reply in my IM-box:
i can't say i agree completely with his last conclusion (apart from the eye-colour), but at least he did reply. anyone else who can help with a more comparable frame from anthology?
