Surely Faul could find a more credible motive than this.

If we all stopped worrying about whether or not "Paul" is dead...then I suppose that would be very convenient for Faul.
It isn't Faul's feelings I'm concerned for. It's the memories, of a great man who is no longer with us. Paul is not here to defend himself in the face of Faul's...convenient explanations for a wide assortment of cover-ups, miscues and outright Lies.
Faul's world is full of lie's---Yes! The truth must look very formidable to Him...it's almost alien to Faul to tell the truth!

" It's the memories, of a great man who is no longer with us. Paul is not here to defend himself in the face of Faul's." I am here for that. So am I. Somebody has to stand up for the truth. The means used during "covert" actions leading up to, during, and after Paul's death, are without question, cowardly almost beyond description. Had those involved, taken even one moment to consider the plain and obvious dignity that any deceased person is entitled to....then they would have considered taking the high road as a viable option in relation to the manner in which Paul's death was dealt with! Instead, they took the easy way out while replacing him with a man who has certainly been a handful in terms of "eccentricity, stubbornness, and generally speaking, a lack of proper focus" in the area of taking his assignment as Paul's replacement seriously at times! More to the point, Paul has no say in the matter whatsoever. Who defends the defenseless? Those who do so, have chosen an honourable role. "Faul" doesn't feel as secure as one might think. Yes he is very wealthy, has endless resourses at his disposal. His greatest Strength though, is also his greatest Weakness .....his self-image is poorly warped. He has been too successful at fooling to many people for too long...he's lost his sense of perspective on WHO he is. He is a very capable (albeit with a great deal of assistance) individual with some skills. Having said all that the TRUTH about "Faul" isn't just that he's deceiving the masses by living his life as "Paul", it's his prior history that makes him all that much more reprehensible to many...who are patiently working full time ...until... "Faul"...is found guilty...of everything he is guilty of, which is, a great deal!

His past life...we virtually hit a blank wall with that one, stubling around in the early days trying to find any signs of a Billy Sheppard who worked for a Canadian police force or somesuch. It appears his tracks have been pretty much but it sounds like you can tell us some things we don't know Sawlur.

Well, in consideration of the PID scenario, if Bill replaced Paul, it wasn't an even swap. Bill gets "Paul's life", and Paul gets, "Billl's death." A person can not be recognized as two people at one time.

.... more about LIES on PID ... Faul Interview Life Magazine November 7, 1969Faul: " It is all bloody stupid....I was wearing a black flower because they ran out of red ones ."THE TRUTH: The reference at: www.geocities.com/~beatleboy1/dbmlife69.int.htmlFound here in this forum at: 60if.proboards21.com/index.cgi?board=faul&action=display&thread=1078442223.... I can say if that is not enough ... from the same interview Faul (alias Billy Shepherd) says: " On Abbey Road we were wearing our ordinary clothes. I was walking barefoot because it was a hot day. THE TRUTH: Actually Faul wanted to wear sandals to avoid burning his feet from the hot asphalt before the final shots. Sadly Beatles interviews were FULL OF LIES after September 1966 or, in the words of George Harrison : "What has been told about the Beatles is 99% false".
