This is an extract from the book "Lennon in America", read this: ...Luciano Sparacino, who did renovations for the Lennons, is quoted as saying he was told by Ono in 1980: "I'm bored with John, tired of the Lennon name, and tired of living in his shadow. As soon as the album is off the ground the marriage is over. I'm planning to leave him." Another smoke screen? How many times, when a relationship breaks up, someone lies about who left who to save face. And of course, John's not here to defend himself.

When John and Yoko were interviewed by Andy Peebles of the BBC, on December 6, 1980. Not only did they have Milk and Honey half done, they were working on their 'third' album "Everyman Has A Woman"....doesn't sound like a split was in the works to me...why would they continue working on albums?...and why would Yoko, who carefully guards her personal life, (even to say then in the interviews at times "do we have to talk about that?" when it came to Johns talking about his low sperm count) confess to an employee....a dragon lady? maybe...she was fiercely protective of John...a gossip to employees?....nah...might mess up her 'spy connection' <smile>

I just think the answers lie on the whole...not in individual 'statements' that every plumber or decorator heard...knowing johns sense of humour he would 'give' them something to tell...if not as a joke...to see if they would say anything.......
