Hello all. I'm new to the board but I'm a Beatles fan from way back. I've visited the Paul Really is Dead web page, and studied all of the evidence. I was almost convinced. However, my common sense told me that it couldn't be true (too many people involved, etc.) So, I tried an experiment. Utilizing Adobe PhotDelux, I created a composite Paul, using a picture from 1963 and one of the pictures of Faul. I used the Adobe software to slightly expand the image of "Faul" to what I consider to be proper dimensions (many of the Faul pictures appear to be artificially "pinched"). After doing so, I was able to get a perfect match. I did this several times with several different pictures, all with the same results. Try it yourself. Take the Sgt. Pepper Paul, mark and cut the head (delete the background), and then expand his head slightly to get a perfect match with any pre 67 picture. It would be very easy to utilize the Adobe software to "pinch" post 66 pictures to make Paul look like "Faul". The head could be made to appear slimmer and longer. The alteration would be undiscernable to someone who was unawares, and of course, when you tried to match up the heads, the ears on the unaltered Paul would stick out past the altered Paul or "Faul". I only used pictures from the Paul is Really Dead web page. The bottom line is, you can't trust any pictures in digital format because they can be too easily manipulated/alterered. What you need to do, is scan photos from your old albums and then, utilizing your software, conduct a comparison. I haven't done this yet, but soon will. So, in my opinion, Paul is probably alive and well, and laughing about this PID nonsense.
