I found this in a Beatles site: ...Jane's father, Dr. Richard Asher, died at the family home in London, of a combination of alcohol and barbiturates, in 1979... The same "death" of Brian  Suspicious as always!!!  |

Wherever you got the quote from, it's wrong. William topped himself in 1969, NOT 1979, so maybe someone found out and offered him ca$h to tell the story and when he accepted the $$ and the intelligence people found out, they decided Jane Asher was out of the picture and so was her father...permanently.
