Thank you all for your patience to date. I logged on as a sceptic a couple of weeks ago, and remain so, but I'm still curious. I have looked at photos in books of my own, and while I have to agree that some of the "evidence" is compelling, much is contradictory, and I'm still unconvinced.
I want to raise some more questions regarding 60IF. When I was younger I became interested in Eastern philosophy and religions, particularly Hinduism, and the Hare Krishna movement. Now, if you remember, it states in the document that the beatles went to India to see if they could get Paul's soul into Bill's body.
I'm no expert, but I think I can state with reasonable certainty that there is no school of thought within any such religion that would advocate or practice the transference of of the sole of a dead person to a living one. It would make a mockery of the concept of reincarnation and the will of the creator, and presumably adherents of such faiths would find the suggestion offensive.
I also don't believe the Beatles would have been encouraged to to attempt this by anyone connected with the religion, and anyway, to my knowledge there is no such procedure. I recognise that the narrator acknowledges the stupidity of these actions, but ludicrously excuses them by stating "we were out our heads with grief."
Bereavement and death are important central features of Hinduism and Eastern thought in general, and the whole birth death rebirth process is concerned with the betterment of the soul. The idea would necessarily be anathema to Hindus, Buddhists etc. We are talking about possession here, not reincarnation.
Finally, does no-one else here find it odd that Bill would agree to go along with such a plan? I mean would any of you agree to share your body with another spiritual being?
