Hello everyone, I have studied Paul being dead way before this site was even made. There has always been something off about Paul after 1966 to me, but than again, i'm only in high school. But I saw the anthology and thats when my suspicions really came into play. I'm just wondering though, do you really want the truth out. Don't you realize it could ruin the Beatles legacy. This reminds me of the once great episode of The Simpsons, when Lisa finds out that Jebedia Springfield (the founder of there town) was a fraud. It all comes down to the moment during the Jebedia Springfield parade, and she is about to reveal the truth, and right when she is about to say it her words are, "I studied alot about Jebidia and Jebedia Springfield is....is...he's was a great man" and the ignorant crowd cheered. After she said it, she was asked by the man who also knew, why she didn't tell the truth, and she simply replied about how the legacy is what really matters. So I would like to ask a question, is the truth really worth it? I say let the brainwashed and ignorant fans love the origin of Paul McCartney, for if you really think about it, he is one cool story!

They have a point. Perhaps it's better if no one knows.
Better a select few than everyone, who will denounce both Paul AND Faul as frauds, Paul because he came up with simple rock songs that George Martin remade into hits and Faul because he had the nerve to want to continue impersonating a dead man.
Maybe it's best that no one knows. The truth is good, but often better left unsaid.
I'm sorry if this offends.

Besides, I'd say Pauls' name has been sufficiently drug thru the mud lately. The changing of song credits, the assault on a fan..... not to mention all those gawd-awful albums with his name on'em!

C'mon...just gave the guy a little shove...my boys took away the pests camera and tossed it in the drink - big deal.

Loved that episode! I thought the same thing. My room mate and I watched it together. At the end (he is tired of me talking about 60IF) he asked me "Do you see the application?" I said yes, why should anyone force exposure or discovery, and risk raining on everyone else's parade?" He said "Exactly!" To which I replied, "So, finally, you agree with me!!" To which he replied, "I'll give you that it's plausible." To which I thought, sometimes it isn't such a far shift from plausible, to convinced!
Also, I found it interesting in that episode that the very man who had stolen the vital evidence of fraud from Jebediah's casket (a golden tongue-tip replacement) was the curator at the Springfield Museum, the very man who knew ALL the truth but worked tirelessly at preserving the myth.

He does have a point - one which does have a lot of credence. The simpsons is so educational isn't it!

According to George Martin, in his autobiography, "All You Need Is Ears", the Beatles really were fantastic musicians and wrote their hits all by themselves. George Martin did a fantastic job of helping them find their sound on tape and later to open up whole new sonic realms for the boys to explore, but in the end it was the boys' writing. I was surprised to learn that even the trumpet solo in Penny Lane, just the sort of thing you'd expect classically-trained George Martin to dash off, was written entirely by Paul.
