This fellow, Brian Hines AKA Denny Laine, did..

He introduced us to Billy Shears..


Billy Shears sang A Little Help From My Friends, it's stated quite clearly.


Ringo, the credited singer of ALHFMF.
Logically, one might conclude Ringo is Billy Shears.

But, did Ringo really sing that song?
Is this really Paul McCartney?

Why it's Billy, and it's his voice, aided by tape speed
manipulation, imitating Ringo. It's better than Ringo was
really capable of in terms of pitch control and range.
Ringo was more of a talker when he sang and therefore
easier to mimic. Bill had the real article right there to help
him.

Now, who sang lead on Getting Better, She's Leaving Home,
When I'm Sixty-Four, Lovely Rita and the middle of A Day in the Life ?

were all pitch altered during mastering, SLH going approx.
5% lower and WI64 and LR going approx. 5% higher.

Question:

Could any of the "Paul" songs on Revolver have been JPM & Laine double-tracked?

My ears tell me that JPM was the only 'Paul' voice on Revolver
and all Beatles recordings prior to Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band
and that Paul double tracked his own vocals.

There was no hole to fix before Pepper as far as I can tell.

I do feel that I hear Wiliam tracked in with whoever the main singer is, on the Bridge sections. "Silly people...door....."
Also, the third verse-----I hear James Paul on two lines that are unrelated to the title.
Possible theory: they had a small number of JP fragments, pieces of musical "pottery", that were expanded on and fashioned into the entire song of "Fixing...", developing a title and hook it never had from James Paul.....just a theory......

I am absolutely certain that Revolver was the one and only JPM.

For no one, perfect intonation for a scouser as well as the beautiful melodies of here, there and everywhere.

Though I have vascillated on that particular point, that particular album, ultimately, you must be right about that. There isn't a plausible way that it could be otherwise, i.e., all of Revolver must be JPM.
