why do they appear to be the same dummies with altered expressions, and not just a seperate set of dummies?
I think the Paul figure in the "happy" set of wax guys looks a lot more like Faul than the Sgt Pepper cover wax Paul....
now that I'm really taking a look at the "happy" wax figures picture, the image of the real Paul sitting there looks funny to me... like he's lit differently with a slightly different coloring and the shine on his hair looks different than the other beatles...

Jojo takes care to post the good stuff defhermit....
As I see it, they are the same dummies with a change of clothes, and a change of facial expression to Paul and Ringo.
Everything else seems exactly the same.

Everything else seems exactly the same. Heh, thanks Dezom, I do my best. Chain of custody on this one is bought from a collector in Vermont, supposedly all "one owner miles" if you will. Bought the 16 mag Help issue from him, that one seems to have no problems. I don't know if you've ever been to a wax musuem, and they did in fact have a Madame Tusseau's branch in Boston when I was a kid. A close up look at the celeb figures is always weird, they look lifelike, but never like they do in the pictures you've seen.

It's true, wax figures look close but are easliy seen as dummies when one is nearby... As I understand it Madame Tussauds was renowned for accuracy... They employ molds for the dummies, so more than one figure could be made. Unless they made two molds for Paul and Ringo, those expressions had to be manually altered. Speaking of those molds, I wonder where they got to...?

My god!
Why is there the continual need to make the Paul ones so bad!?
PS i think they're different.

paul's hand seems longer than it should be because the idea is "i wish i could REALLY be there with you ringo, but [as you know] i'm only there in spirit" and i more than agree with the suggestion that the entire PEPPER cover is concealing a tremendous message, if not the proof of the entire death and replacement of JPM. too bad that those lurking in the shadows here won't come out and tell us more...

Are those really the same heads used on the cover of Sgt Pepper? The John one looks totally different to me... so what are the saying? that they have 4 wax heads and 3 were used on the cover of SP? So, where's the Paul wax head that WAS used?
