Hi !
When i searched the forum i found this :
''James Paul McCartney was an EMI artist. His last work was published by DECCA -SPECULATION- Was he convinced by Brian Jones (his friend) to leave EMI for DECCA then?''
I had no idea that Paul and Brian Jones were friends ! I suddenly asked myself if the mysterious- and never really cleared up- death of Brian Jones of the Stones had something to do with Paul McCartney ? Has Brian Jones known someting of the killing of Paul ?
I wonder if someone has any idea if there might be a context !?

This is very interesting for a couple of reasons. First, it had come to light several years ago that one of the construction workers, who was working at Jones home made a deathbed confession that he indeed had something to do with the drowning of Brian Jones. So Jones was actually murdered apparently.
Secondly, the Beatles original contracts with EMI/Parlophone most likely excluded movie soundtracks, which would be normal. In the US, the soundtrack to "A Hard Days Night" was released on the United Artists label, if I remember correctly. It wasn't EMI/Capitol. So it's not unusual that Paul's soundtrack to "In A Family Way" is on a different label.
