So, One after 909 could also be an address.
9091
That is a "one", after, well, 909.
Revolution?
www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&oi=defmore&defl=en&q=define:revolution
Revolution CAN refer to rotations, or the movement of one body completely around another.
A spin around the block can be a revolution.
A car making a circuitous path through a neighborhood can be a revolution.
And Blue Jay Way has a highest point which provides an incredible panorama of Los Angeles, the basin side.
In 1967 there was a empty lot there at the top wherre one could look out and see for miles. One could see the lights all about at night.......
And there were sometimes "parties" there......according to that weblink. How 60's!
A man on a hill? Catatonic and incapacitated for 9 days? Blew out his mind in a car...sitting atop a semi-remote (at the time) Hollywood Hill?
Maybe not remote---maybe just 'private' and known to mainly residents.
Is that house also seen in the "Magical Mystery Home Movie", showing Derek Taylor smoking a cigareete underneath the concrete supporst near the pool? I'll have to look at that again.
It may not be---I seem to remember the pool as being a more rectangular affair, but I haven't viewed it in a while.
Still, that same kind of 60's architecture. Flat roof and concrete;
not "traditional" or "Early American" for sure........
And many of the interconnecting Street Names are bird references.
"Flying."
Can I put this all together?
A hill....someone on it, staring comitose for days..........a car.......a mindblowing experience........an address in a hot, swinging neighborhood of Hollywood........the number 9091.......
friends lost in a vehicle in the middle of the night, driving AROUND AND AROUND getting more and more lost............and
a heavy FOG over the environs.........
But, "he hadn't noticed that the lights had changed" is a wild pitch-----there must not have been many traffic lights up in those
winding back neighborhoods---maybe a caution light or tow, or a
"warning:car approaching light" at a blind intersection.....which is common up there......
But there ARE the wild and wonderful lights of the city, that twinkle all around Los Angeles in the nighttimes. Some of the best views basin or valley are along the twisting, narrow paved spine of the Hollywood Hills---Mulholland Drive.
"I told you 'bout the fool on the hill,
I tell you that he's livin' there still........."
But the Fool and the Walrus may NOT necessarily be the same people.......
But, really, who built and owned the house? Doris Day?
And, that "organ" in the song BJW has a way of sounding rather "funereal."
The story says that George was waiting on Derek, it doesn't mention a second person.
Yet, the song lyric, says "my friendS have lost THEIR way..."
On the whole, tonight, I feel as if we have been thrown a bit of a
"metaphorical rope" with this particular posting.
If there is a Walrus, and a Fool, maybe we don't have the entire cast of charactors yet. This is something I have thought about before. We have several, but are there yet a couple of players
who are.....................waiting to make their entrance?
Beatle Paul. Sir, do we have a stage manager around here?
Are all the players 'on" yet, or are there to be more entrances in ACT Two?
If so, I would imagine that they are already in the dressing rooms, slapping on the greasepaint.
Surely union call is in force...........or, is this a "Right to Work"
"webstate" where the unions have no say so? Hmm? Is this an Equity house? AGVA? SAG?
Where is my understudy? Get him in the building and in costume.
I may have to skip the matineƩ and go on to Blue Jay Way.........
[All Exeunt, stage right. Blackout. Cue the HMS Pinafore Prop in Three. She sails tonight! Annnnnnnd....SPOTLIGHT!]
