The ghastly state of decompostion has been verified by the "60IF" document itself. As for who found them, that seems to be yet another great part of the mystery, IMO.

It could have been ordinary people, whose names would mean nothing to us, who found the bodies. Lalotte and davetripper, take the 60if document with a grain of salt. (Oooh, how does that translate into French?) Uh, consider it as a guess of what happened; not necessarily true. There's some confusion in it. For example, a body is found that looks like Paul McCartney. But is it? Or is it someone playing the role of Paul? See? If the police call in John to identify the body, what's he supposed to do? He may know it's not really Paul, but he can't say that it's an imposter, because that would reveal that doubles were used. Does he play along, and say "That's him", or does he say it's not?
Now compound that incident by about a thousand other variables, and you'll understand why the 60if document isn't always right.
Most of us here consider it a noble effort at trying to understand what happened, but we have doubts, sorry to say.
