Hi ! On the cover of the Musik-Express is a picture of the guys from '66. What really made me angry is the changed face of Paul ! Lokk at this picture and see for yourself. Here is the complete cover : [/img] and here is the Paul detail : [/img] isnt his chin remarkably longer than normal ? Maybe someone has the original, so that we can see the difference !? captaintruth

Hi !
Thanks, Byrdsmaniac - i tried to find me a way through the jungle, but i got stuck somwhere in the middle of my journey... No, it is not possible to post any picture here in the forum (at least it appears to me that it is so). Due to technical blockings, the "insert image" button was shut down. I will not speculate of the reasons for doing so, but let me say that the managers of this forum could easily correct this malfunction if they want to. So, ignoring this "technical problem" means that it is not wanted to put inconvenient pictures into the public i guess... Adressing my thread, this means, that everyone who is interested in the fake Paul image on the cover of the actual "Musik Express" has to find it out with "googling" on the internet. I elate you to do so -
Best wishes,
captaintruth

I am not aware of any technical issue with posting photos, can you give us a link to the photo you want shown here?

OK - here it is ( i hope that the cover i am talking about will not change due to the release of the new magazine): www.musikexpress.de/Heft_08_06.htmlI for myself zoomed in on good old Paul to get a closer look of the changed face... Good luck - captaintruth

Got the magazine cover and saved it from disappearing. Don't have (this exact) one published in the era though.

Hi !
With the help of JoJo, the picture appeares here at last in the right place.
A big thank you for that !
I'm still wondering how you could post it anyway - maybe it would be helpful for many to get a short explaination how to complete this task (and for the most dull like me, maybe step by step). So, now back to the reason i was posting this thread:
When the reader looks at Pauls chin it appears that it was strangely stretched to get somehow close to Fauls, doesn't it !?
Again i ask if someone has the original photo for comparison ?

Got to say, it does appear to have given him an odd shaped chin, now I know that there's a cartoon character that has a massive chin, anyone care to hazard a guess as I cant recall thier name.

If the buttons don't work, and I'm not sure why they wouldn't, but they operate on something called "javascript", and your browser may not have that enabled. No matter, the good news is that you may perform the same function by typing in the code manually. You need a link to the picture, and then you need to enclose the link with what are called "image tags", and I'll demonstrate. If I type the tags, the board software won't show them, because it will think I intend to post a picture. So...ignore the extraneous "g's" [imgg]link to your picture[/imgg] In other words, type what I typed, with the link to your picture between the characters enclosed by brackets, along with the brackets themselves, but drop the second "g" to the left of each "close bracket". The other issue is that you need to have your own place to host pictures that you find on the 'net, otherwise they tend to disappear. Try Photobucket.

Hi !
Jo Jo - i will try your "insert Photo" explaination in a quiet hour. Thank you again for your help.
Plastic Paul, the character you are suggesting seems to be one figure from the famous "Dalton Gang" in the "Lucky Luke" Episodes (what are their names..... Joe, Averell and ?) maybe the person who "influenced" Pauls face was a fan of those ? Let us play Lucky Luke here in the forum and show the bad guys that they reached their limits (actually they are off limits, i guess) !
