There is no such thing as Faul! It is just a rumor that has gotten completely out of hand! I mean come on, how could you get someone to look AND sing exactly like Paul AND play the bass guitar left handed? Sure, there's plastic surgery, but plastic surgery in the 60s isn't like plastic surgery today! And do you think the other band members would just allow an imposter to invade? I don't think so! John Lennon wanted to get out of The Beatles for a long time (he even wrote the song "Help!" expressing his feelings on the matter, he felt trapped and that the media were trying to mould him into something he wasn't) - if Paul did die, it would be a perfect excuse for John to leave and end The Beatles, so why on earth would he allow them to go to all this trouble to introduce an imposter? He wouldn't! He would have retired there and then.
And he would be a lot more upset than he seemed at the time - he couldn't just continue like he did, they were such good friends, he would have shown deep deep emotion through his songs, which he didn't. Sure, there's so called "clues", for example: "the walrus is paul" and "i buried paul", but these can be explained by people reading way too much into their music and over-interpretating things! John said in an interview that he said "the walrus is paul" as a joke, and also because it was Paul who was behind the walrus mask in the video of I am The Walrus. "I buried Paul" is actually John saying "cranberry sauce", there's a valid explanation for everything!
The whole Faul idea is absurd, when John died, you could see the emotion on Paul's face, it was deep and real. He looked as if he had lost a life long friend because, of course, he had. An imposter wouldn't have been able to show that same emotion. And Paul's personal life needs to be considered. Firstly, don't you think Jane Asher would have noticed if her boyfriend turned into a different person? Of course she would have! She would have instantly recognised that Paul was an imposter, but he wasn't, so they continued as normal. And the story of his death is pretty daft. I mean "he was burnt so badly they couldn't even get dental records." Did you know that even if you drop a body in ACID you can still get dental records. The teeth survive everything. There would have been dental records as fire isn't half as bad as acid.
And the evidence is hardly sound. I mean if you look at the comparison photos, sure, some of them look different but small things, such as his ears, stay the same. Paul probably DID get plastic surgery to make him appear more youthful - all the stars do - so that would explain the scars and I have seen early photos of him where his eyes are GREEN (they say Faul has green eyes and Paul brown) - Paul just has the kind of eyes that are green in some lights and brown in others. Another thing is the voice comparison - sure his voice sounds SLIGHTLY different in some songs but that's hardly evidence!! He was just experimenting, changing his voice in different songs to see what he could do with voice. With Get Back, he's put on a different voice on purpose - it makes the song interesting!
And it's definitely possible - I'm a singer and I can make my voice sound different for different songs - it's just a technique you learn. Sure, Fool on the Hill may sound more "nasal" than Yesterday, but that's probably because Paul was singing through his nose to produce a different sound. Haven't you noticed that John can also vary his voice? Compare Twist and Shout to Imagine to I am the Walrus. He sounds very different in all these songs, yet HE wasn't labelled an imposter!
Another thing is that if Paul HAD died - his family would have been notified because come on, it's the human thing to do and no one is than inhumain. There would be a death certificate and his will etc etc and all those documents - THESE would be sound evidence. So where is his death certificate? Someone must have it? People aren't THAT trustwrothy, imagine how much it would be worth, telling the world that billy isn't billy at all! Someone, looking for money, would gain the PROPER evidence and the story would be out by now - but it isn't. Why isn't the story out and all over the papers? Because there IS no death certificate, and Paul is ALIVE.
Another thing is that the Queen doesn't just give knighthoods to any old person - I'm sure he would have had to present some kind of indentification - ie, birth certificate etc before he recieved the knighthood, especially with all of the rumors. THIS would have been the perfect opportunity to reveal Faul as they would have found out that he had both birth and death certificates meaning that he's actually dead. But they didn't find that. And Paul received his knighthood. They wouldn't be stupid enough to knight a phony would they? I don't think so!
And also, after Paul's "death", he continued to write great music and Lennon/McCartney lived on. This is not the work of an imposter. Only Paul was completely compatible with John. Faul and John would never have continued to produce such great music. It's just impossible. Paul's music has a certain style to it too. This style changes as he gets older (and imporves as a musician) but it remains consistent. Sure, Paul's solo work wasn't that great, but that was only because he felt lost without The Beatles, after he left the band he felt useless and worthless, and although he eventually got back on his feet, he was never the same again, he longed to write with John again but he knew he couldn't, so his music was never as good again.
Another thing is that Paul's personality hasn't changed. If you watch the anthology, you'll see the old Paul is exactly the same Paul as the young - not the work of an imposter. He is too genuine. He is too real. There is no way that he is dead. He loved his wife Linda. He was truthful to her because he loved her. If he was an imposter, he would have told her the truth (that he was actually Faul), otherwise the relationship would have been based on lies and it wasn't because you could see that he truly loved her, just by the way he looked at her and spoke of her.
John Lennon loved to speak his mind. In the end he didn't give a sh*t about the Beatles and only wanted to live in the present - not in the past and the Beatles were in the past, therefore they were forgotten. I'm sure he would have found it a great joke to tell the media about Faul - the fact that he didn't shows that there is no Faul, as John would have revealed the truth, especially when they were fighting with each other, it would have been the ultimate revenge.
Another thing is that in a lot of John's later work he is attacking Paul and says in a song: "The only thing you did was yesterday" Yesterday is a song that the "real" Paul wrote and sang, before his "death". Why would John attack his "dead" mate? He wouldn't! If it was Faul he was attacking, he would have attacked Faul's work, not Paul's! If Paul really was dead, John wouldn't have been so harsh about Paul, instead, he'd say (to Faul) : "you're not Paul, you're not half the man Paul was.." etc etc. The fact that he didn't shows that there is no Faul and that John was attacking Paul, the real Paul!
Faul is just a stupid rumor that the Beatles probably found most amusing. The fact that is still around shows that people truly are blind - surely the truth would have been revealed by now? If you want to look at clues, look at the clues leading to John's death, they are so much more interesting and so much more real. Some of them are really spooky!
