I see in it how things did change since Faul came into the Beatles. He managed everything. Just see "Let it be" movie or Anthology 8 and you will see. Maybe I'm wrong but this are my thoughts

So, the implied thread here is that faul turned into a controlling egomaniac, as evidenced by him 'conducting' what is presumed to be the orchestral bits used in Sgt. Pepper.
Well, as far back as 1965/1966 there was a running joke in the band about Paul's ego. The other three urged him, half mockingly, to record a solo album even then and John offered the title: "Paul McCartney Goes Too Far." I have audio/video of a 1966 show in which George introduces Paul doing 'Yesterday' and says, "Paul McCartney, opportunity knocks!"
So, perhaps it was decided that Paul's healthy ego beast was to be carried over with Faul. Perhaps Faul made it clear he was saving the Beatles Empire by 'sacrificing' his own life to 'become' Faul, therefore he made demands, like more say and control over projects.
Or, equally plausable considering human nature, Faul knew he had the secret of the century and held it over the band's heads, like leverage to sway things his way.
Keep in mind most million-dollar lotto winners, thrust into vast wealth suddenly after a life of modest means, totally blow it and not only squander the money but fall prey to the biggest head trip: financial excess.
Therefore, Faul could have also went a bit balmy with his sudden, amazing lifestyle change.
We hold these truths to be self evident: NOTHING IS REAL ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE
