Just a little aside... Faul has just attended the graduation of students from the school he's founded for the performing arts. He usually projects his happy-go-lucky attitude (covering, as he would say, a mulltude of sins), but not this time. He was as grumpy as could be, to the point where the students felt awful. One might think he's feeling the effects of the truth looming larger in his legend. It is getting harder for him to play the game. Just so you all know.

Yes!!! Imagine how tired he is. He's playing this game since 1966. Poor guy!!!

Maybe as long as we keep the pressure on it will eventually bring an end to this whole charade and send Faul packing.

Thanks ! I think I will enjoy this board . I am not entirely convinced paul is really dead , but my mind is always open. I was around for the original controversy and remember it well . Thanks for the welcome to the group !

another newbie here! I've been wanting to go back & do some catch-up reading so I'll know more about what's been goin' on in here recently, but I've been so damn busy that I've got very little free time for stuff like that..... so I'll just post anyway! I saw the Faul tour of 10yrs ago & thought it was totally amazing. That band did a great job with all the Beatle material. I was right up front & center at the Astrodome & I was TOTALLY blown away. I must go back & do some reading on this subject. I think that even if this were all made public that a lot of people would STILL refuse to believe it.
....anyway.. howdy all!

I agree with you on both counts...I really enjoyed the concert when I saw Faul (your seats were a lot better than mine, BTW ), and yes, if it were made public even through "official" channels, there are lots of people who would never buy it. WELCOME, EYESBLEED!! ;D

or to get us to shut up and go away. but can you blame him? he gave up his life to do this, and all he gets is a hard time. im still mad at him though. ..His fringe benefits include untold BILLIONS of dollars and a life as rareified royalty...I do not feel sorry for him one bit. He is just an imposter. The really interesting part is, he has outlasted his usefulness to the power leverage which placed him in this position. Kids today don't fawn all over Faul. He certainly isn't at the apex of modern Rock music, if indeed he ever was. Therefore, he becomes his OWN detriment and risk to the "lie" just by...being. So, the whole 'Faul' cover-up should get real interesting sooner than later...

I can't really be mad at him... yeah, he became a tad egotistical and all, but I still think he's a very talented musician who probably agreed to something that he would come to regret. If I was him, I'd probably be a constant wreck worrying about the truth coming out. What would happen to his legacy if tomorrow the world found out he was "William Shepperd" and not Paul? Would the public accept him anymore? Would they still hold his music in high regard? What would his children think of him (I imagine that they don't even know, and neither does his new wife)?
I think this secret is one that Faul desperately wants never to get out, and I feel sorry for him, because he has to carry that burden. We all make mistakes, and I'm sure some nights he still kicks himself over that major one he made in late 1966...

Or perhaps the real mistake was to continue wanting to be Paul after the Beatles split. Had he kept to the original agreement to tell the truth at the end, history would've been rewritten. As it is, I think soon after that decision he quickly began to regret it thinking something along the lines of "What have I done? I'm nobody!" and took to the bottle...

As it is, I think soon after that decision he quickly began to regret it thinking something along the lines of "What have I done? I'm nobody!" and took to the bottle... Well put.....and when he refused to honor the original agreement and continued on as 'Paul,' THAT very act of selfish ego/greed could have been the catalyst, starting the tragic domino-effect of events which culminated in JOHN and GEORGE'S deaths. Think about it.
