Hi guys, Im from Argentina. Itry to write in the best english that I can. Last year i bought a book named "Long time ago" (Hace mucho tiempo atras) about mr Mccartney life. And something called my atention, He said about the song "I dont want spoil the party" that was a great performance voice of Ringo in the song. Well, I think , Or the years and the ahrd life he got is tricking the memory of Paul or Faul got no idea about songs writing before the '66.

Yes, Faul has had many "lapses" in memory over crucial issues. I saw a TV special where he claimed he sung Yesterday to a string quartet on the first appearance of the Ed Sullivan show. Yesterday hadn't even been written then, let alone performed. In fact he has contradicted himself over just when it was written, at one point he said 1965 (true), at another point 1963 (false), perhaps to back up his Ed sullivan performance story. And he's made other mistakes too...
BTW, Welcome to the forums.

It was written by Paul during the filming of the movie Help! He kept working on it on breaks between filming, and playing it for people, saying, Do you like it? to the point tht everyone was saying, we wish he would hurry up and finish that song.........
It was premiered on the Ed Sullivan show in 1965.
There is plenty of support for this. Look up web sites about Help, Sullivam, and Richard Lester, director of Help.

Also, it was copywritten in 1965.
The sheet music is readily available.
And has been since.....1965.
If he had sung it on the air in 1963, then the sheet music would give 1963 as the copywrite year. It does not.
To perform a song, live, is to publish that song. You make it public. That is what publishing means.........having it printed is only a part of publishing. The real publishing is making it publicly available. You might sing a song at a clambake as a trial, but if you attempt to perform it on a national televisioni show, or movie theme or whatever------it automatically becomes published whether yo like it or not. This protects you and the venue. They wouldn't let PAul sing a song without the understanding that that performance constitutes, legally, publishing it.
Can I beat this horse some more?

Ok I know I know..I was just teasing for God's sake. But I DO want to see this interview where Paul mistakenly said it was written in '63.

You've got to hand it to the guy though... he does slip up, but he can recite things about the Beatles early days pretty well too. Of course, so could many people here, and Faul would have it from the source themselves to learn.

Well, in deference of Bill, anyone who learns all those LYRICS!! for a concert has a pretty great memory! That is not easy for everyone.
So, I don't think there is really a memory problem.
And, truthfully, anyone can, when recounting their history, get a bit of the details reversed or out of sync some times. Especially things we don't like to remember.
Ok, well, I know the greater issue here is, ostensibly, was a person THERE in the first place. Well, we do know that he WAS there from late 1966 to the present. Fully half of the Beatles "reign" over the pop/rock world had, for sure, Bill present.
I must admit, as a "dabbling" composer, and having sympathy for those who write and pour their creativity out in music writing, I hope that the writer gets ultimate credit for what he has done. And I hope all those who leave us in the living world who were creative writers do recieve the credit and eulogizing deserved. I also know, pragmatically, that ghosting and "buy-outs" of original music prevent that from happening sometimes. Sometimes the composer would , ironically, not like to own up to having written a simplistic piece that earned him millions.
So it can go both ways. You would take the royalties for "Music Box Dancer", "Feelings", "New York, New York,", "Send In the Clowns" and "Memory" gladly. But you'll remember your artier, deeper, songs with more esteem.................
The real world and the idealistic world are at odds.
And nearly impossible to get even.................

;D :DPerplexed - that was VERY deep. I concur. The two things that bother me the most are that Paul's name was taken away, & the credit for his work. I'm not in the arts. My daughter is a quadruple threat. That girl can sing, play keyboard, write prose/poetry & draw some pretty amazing things. I wouldn't want anyone taking credit for a single thing that came out of her pretty head. I can't see how Paul COULD rest in peace, considering the royal screwing HE was given. Believe me, I doubt he knew it was coming. By the time he realized that something fishy was going on, it was too late. I wish I knew the particulars. To better understand EXACTLY what happened to him. However, I know enough to know that whatever it was, he didn't deserve it... Love to all... Chris

what is eidetic?

Eidetic means that he can remember things word for word. Total recall. Not everything, thank God. But, if he takes his time & reads something slowly, he can recall it in detail later on. I WISH I could do that. My husband has looked at the site. Initially, he thought it was a bunch of hogwash. Then, he started scrutinizing things. Now he's sure that Paul & Bill/ Faul are two different people. Don't forget, he can look at something & totally recall it. Then, he can look at something else for comparison purposes. To him it's quite simple. Paul had a small round head. Bill/Faul has a larger oblong head. You can't CHANGE the proportion of your head to your body in adulthood. Love to all... Chris

Thanks, Chris, for "eidetic." I may have to use it from time to time, if I can remember what it means, of course.
Congratualtions on your memory, James , is it? I hope that's right. But I remember you are technically and mechanically gifted! Lack of name recall can prove embarrassing for me. As you can see, my memory is non-eidetic.
Or perhaps non-existent. Well, either way, let me continue........
oh, I forgot what I was gonna harp on this time.............
(Sound of the "Theme from Jeopardy" in the background..)
Can I get back to ya'll on this a little later? My watch alarm just sounded reminding me to take some gingko biloba. Now, let's see, wher'd I put that little bottle...................................

;DYou're welcome Perplexed. Beldabeast - alot of performers believe that. Back then that was a great fear. Paul wouldn't of had his nose fixed without a VERY good reason. Too much risk involved... Love to all... Chris
