This is my opinion, but I think Pete was replaced because of his mother, Mona Best. I've read that she was getting difficult with Brian and the band (among other things.)

I meant replaced by Ringo, but maybe there is a Fete. I don't think so, I saw him at a Beatlefest and seemed real.

The other Beatles blame George Martin as Martin commented on Pete's timing. In Pete's defence , a great drummer doesn't need to keep a beat as long the snare is not hit at inappropiate moments. Keith Moon's drumming was far from organised. At least Pete can take comfort that he is the sole surviving original Beatle. Attachments:

True indeed that Pete can claim to be the sole surviving original Beatle. Especially Pete Best himself would be able to tell the difference between the Faul of today and the real Paul of yesterday.
Don't forget Pete knows the real Paul VERY WELL, and it really piques my interest as to why today he has not said a word to expose this Faul? Many questions here indeed.
The actual fallout from the Beatles was caused by the management who began with the Beatles, and from John and the real Paul and George. What pissed off Pete was the way they approached and handled his dismissal without a valid reason. Pete never really hung out with the other bandmates and was not that tight with them. After John beat up one of the original members who died, Pete kept his distance and it made sense. No one doubted his drumming ability, and he was by far even better than Ringo, and had a personality that attracted women which also pissed off John and Paul. I wonder what he would have looked like had he grew his hair long like the rest of the group. With the kind of face he had it would be hard to phantom.
The bottom line is that Pete Best holds all the real secrets pertaining to the real Paul and also about the Faul of today. He is the last person who can genuinely tell all of us the real truth!! I honestly wished he can step up to the plate and speak up about it and reveal the actual facts and events that took place behind closed doors pertaining to the Beatles.
Since he has not spoken it would seem something much BIGGER is behind all this and it prevents him of voicing his side. Was there a official perpetual written agreement to keep silent about it and in doing so gets a certain amount of revenue yearly to keep him happy for the rest of his life? Or was there a threat against him pertaining to his own life and possibly his family too added into this equation? Many questions.

IMO, had Pete Best been allowed to remain with the group, they may have been even bigger though Pete's appeal to girls may have overshadowed Paul and John's.
The early fans were outraged and protested against the "new" Beatles. To them, Pete Best WAS The Beatles.

Does anyone have any movie tapes showing Pete Best playing with the Beatles when he was with them. There has to be some and I wish I can see it to see how he played those drums.
This is the one part I miss and the other is to see the real Paul playing that guitar before he became a bass player.
Does anyone have any of these oldie clips??? If so please share it, as I would like to see it too.

Pete Best was more than likely paid off in respect of "lost potential future earnings" by Brian Epstein as he was under contract to NEMS and they ended his contract. He has kept relatively quiet as he would have had to agree to keep quiet as part of his pay off. It is a curious fact that he became a "civil servant" as a career move and this means that you work for the government. So you sign the Official Secrets Act.

Apparently Pete Best was in the group due to his mother, Mona Best owned the Casbah club and that's how he came to be in the group. I think he was in the group about 2 years. It seems odd that in interviews, Pete always says he isn't bitter and just seems to accept what happened without rancour. Very gracious of him but something doesn't add up.
