I think Eddie was just playing with us. To see if we were paying attention. From what I understand he comes from a military family. His father was a very strict man. I don't think he put up with stupidity. He was testing us. To see how much we really knew. To test our resolve. To see how far we'd go to protect James Paul & his memory. To see if we could be swayed from the one true path...
Everyone needs to get ahold of a copy of John Lennon's How Do You Sleep... The ENTIRE song is about Faul...
The key lyrics that Eddie kept referring to were :
The only thing you done was, yesterday...
Since you've been gone, you're just another day...
Now, my friends, the GREAT John Lennon was not only a musical genius, but he was also a pretty good writer & artist...
He was known for his keen wit...
He was also known for the Double Entendre...
When John said - The only thing you done was yesterday... He was being sarcastic... As if to say, the only good music Paul McCartney did was years ago ( before YOU came on the scene )... He said it this way on purpose, to make people think. Wow, could Yesterday have been the only true Paul McCartney composition
Anyone with half a brain, realizes that's impossible, so you're forced to try to think how else he might mean it...
Get it ?
When he said " since you're gone you're just another day..." He was really referring to the fact that once he left the Beatles, he became NOTHING...
The only truly inspired songs he ever sang, were the ones written by James Paul...
Once those were completed, he truly was just another day... Of course the fact that he made a song called, " Another Day " gave John the smokescreen he needed to make that statement...
EVERY WORD IN THAT SONG IS DIRECTED TOWARDS FAUL...
Listen to it...
Love to all...
