I found a great new evidence of the film altering that was going on. The pictures I had up of Faul's eyes from MMT were from the dvd version, and though they were definately hazel, they weren't quite as green as the eyes in the 2000 picture. Now, take a look at the new versions of the pictures I have up. They are from a vhs copy that was shown on mtv awhile back. Before you look at them though, download them to your desktop. For some reason they show up on the webpage darker than they really are; download them to your desktop and open them and you'll see what I mean. Does anybody know how to fix this? Does IE 3.0 have a limited pallet or something? Anyway, look at them (on your desktop, for the moment) here: www.anycities.com/user/uberkinder/fc52.html , and then compare them to the dvd versions here: www.anycities.com/user/uberkinder/fooldvd.htmlQuite a difference!

That's strange, the difference in brightness is just an optical illusion caused by the solid white background. It really seemed like the pictures were different. Weird!

Oh, and I'm ment the difference between viewing them on the page and then on your desktop, not the difference between the two versions. This is still valid. Someone can combine these replies if you like, or better yet, just take that bit about the brightness out of the original post. I need some sleep!

Andrew - The real proof is the fact that Faul's contacts make his eyes a much darker brown then Paul's were. My eye color is similar to Paul's . My mom's is similar to Faul's, with the contacts on. I have medium brown eyes, she has dark brown eyes... There's a big difference... That's without even trying to compare the dark hazel, compared to medium brown. Dark Hazel MIGHT turn light brown sometimes. NOT medium brown...And most certainly NOT DARK BROWN... Why would anyone wear contacts to make their already brown eyes even darker As someone who has brown eyes, I can tell you, noone does... First of all, wearing contact lenses is a pain in the ass. At one point I had blue ones & green ones. I wanted to make my eyes stand out more, not less !!! Trust me, NOONE buys dark brown contacts. I don't even think that they're available to the general public... This proof alone, is enough to hang Faul !!! A VERY stupid mistake on their part. They figured on people not noticing the difference. That we weren't paying attention... And most people weren't & aren't.... But, WE are Faul's time of attrition, is coming up.... Love to all.... Chris ;D

VERY good point Chris. I never thought of it. Who would wear brown contacts? Wow!

Hypnosis, Dear DarkHorse, it was hypnosis. And I was hypnotized too. "60IF" definitely opened my eyes and my mind.

I think you guys need to turn up the brightness on your monitors. Faul's eyes in the new pictures are not Brown, but BRIGHT GREEN! Here, I've updated the page again with new versions, this time with the brightness adjusted a little: www.anycities.com/user/uberkinder/fc52.html

Chris, I dont know about the eye thing. Everyone likes my eye color because it sticks out (greyish greenish, sometimes blueish with hazel in the center) but I hate them so much that I was actually concidering getting brown contacts at a time in my life. Im weird, but still. I dont think many people would try to make their eye color browner than they already are. Actually, its the hazel part of my eye that pisses me off the most.

You're right. But, it's still pretty rare for anyone with brown eyes to go darker. Add to that ( this is just conjecture on my part ) that I'm sure when contacts 1st came out, girls were probably more likely to wear them. I don't even think that commercially, you could GET colored contacts in the mid sixties. Those thing were probably glass !!! They didn't have soft contacts like we have today. Trust me, they were custom made !!! Take care, dear... Chris

Makes you think diffrently on contacts... but, I saw him without contacts, and he doesnt have a nice eyecolor either. Really kinda nasty in my opinion.
Hm... I wonder if Faul is left handed now or what. I dont know how hard it is to change which hand you write with, (im naturally ambexextrious) but I can immagine for those who arent, it would be pretty hard. Espically switching EVERYTHING they do to the other hand.

Uberkinder, it's only about different "gamma corrections". Do you know? The Faul's eye close-up is a deliberate clue put by the Beatles.

Got my first contacts in '66. The only colors available were green and blue.
