The Penny Lane lyrics sort of looks like two different hands on the same page. Maybe Faul wrote (or more likely dictated for John) where Paul left off as an exercise for copying Paul's hand. You remember how Penny Lane has some verses sung by Paul and others sung by Faul?

Both of them are pretty messy, but the second page of the first one looks a lot more like pauls writing.

;D I have to look both over more closely ( I just copied them to my pictures, so I can look them over with a magnifying glass ). My 1st impression was that James Paul wrote both of these songs. Maybe Faul tinkered around with Penny Lane ( to make himslef feel important ), but Paul wrote it... I'm going to look at both samples more closely after I finish catching up with the posts here.... Love to all... Chris

If you can post the others handwritings that I'd sended to you cos I can't do it. Thanks!!! ;D

I posted this already but couldn't get the picture to load. So I will try again. This is the contract that the Beatles signed with EMI. Don't know when it was signed but the contract started Jan. 27, 1967. e:\Beatles signatures.jpg[/img]

It's got to be an address to a web site, not your hard drive!
So the picture has to be uploaded onto the web. Or did you get it from there? If so then use that address instead.

Hi Guys.. ;D I'm new to the site, reading like crazy and madly addicted ;D ;D I have just started studying graphology, but I know handwriting or 'brainwriting' is as a good as a fingerprint...even in court. Trouble is I am not a beatles fan ...please don't pass out at that statement ;D ;D So could you please tell me which songs the real Paul wrote and which Faul wrote so I can hazard an opinion on the two sets of handwriting?

ooh perfect - been looking for someone like you for ages. You see the thing is, everones saying how those two sets of writing are so different and therefore must have been written by different people.
Before you came along we had no educated (in that field) opinion on this.
the fact is, handwriting my look different depending on pen used and im sure other factors (however i am no professional in this field!)
let me know what you think

Hi Yelllowmatter Certain things may slightly effect handwriting, but the core personality shown by the handwriting generally remains consistent. The only thing that may alter it is degenerative illnessess such as alzheimers, and possibly long term drug abuse But that would be over a long time period. Paul 1966 should write exactly (when you know what to look for) like Paul 1967/69

Thanks everyone. As others have said, autographs are useless in this case because so many people signed on the beatles behalf. What I need to know is which songs from www.angelfire.com/rock/beatlescripts/alphacontents.htmlwere written by Paul and which by Faul...then i can compare...but as I said I am relatively new to graphology and no expert..but I know enough to see if the difference is significant and worth forwarding to an experienced graphologist

The link I posted above has samples of Paul, Faul, Mal Evans, Neil Aspinall and 2 forgers, as well as examples of the Beatles signing for each other. It's a very detailed site.

Ok this may be of interest, here is a mix of stuff from 2 books and the web site above. First, here is a letter written to a "Mr. Low" a journalist that they met in a pub in I guess 1959, written by Paul. This a scan from the Hunter Davies authorized biography published in 1968, first edition. Now here is a scan of a quick note from Faul anouncing that The Beatles are finished. Taken from the Beatles Anthology book. (The big monster sized one) And now from the web site above that posted the Hey Jude handwritten lyrics. If the story we have told is true about Faul being the one who wrote it, and if this is authentic, then it should be a a good sample to work with. This one may be debatable, and fell free to do so, but Faul seemed awful upset about these lyrics being put up for sale. Yes they were certainly stolen, so I suppose that could be the reason... So there you go, something from 1959, from a book that was published in 1968. Interestingly that book has no samples of Faul's handwriting. Something from 1970, and the Hey Jude lyrics. I don't have anything from later than 1959 that James Paul wrote from what I can see, anyone else?
