If I remember well this song was written by John in India after 1966. I'm agree with you about this song. Remember this part: ...I give you everything I got for a little peace of mind.... Very interesting, isn't it?

You guys are right. It's definitely about Paul's death. He LOVED him. Imagine if you will, losing a very close member of your family. Someone you depended on every day, to help you be the best you could be. That's what Paul was to John ( & vice versa )... He was LOST without him. Yoko tried to fill the void. She failed miserably. She only encouraged his drug use, so that he wouldn't feel the pain... That woman - AAARRRGGGHHH !!!!! Love to all... Chris

John lost not only James Paul but also THE BEATLES. The Band had only to publish all the works left by James Paul. From 1968 George Harrison and Ringo Starr established their own song edition Ltds.

I too had the same thoughts about that song. With a tragedy as a death of someone we love so dear, it would be hard to sleep. Popping pills probably wouldn't help either.

Sir Walter Raleigh was the British explorer who introduced tabacco to the old world (..."I'll have another cigarette").
The spiritual confusion John shows in this song is nothing new. You can hear it (embryonicly) in "She Said She Said".

John was cursing him for his cigarette addiction. And it rhymes.

Worse than that. She was a covert Government agent assigned to infiltrate and debase the most popular and most powerful entertainers int he world...The Beatles. Absolutely, just when John might be having second thoughts about this hair brained scheme, along comes Yoko, how convenient. She was always joined at the hip with John everywhere, just in case he might open his mouth and I mean every second of every day, that's not a healthy relationship, cmon! John knew it deep down, that's why his defense mechanism was always up about that. I've come to think of her as a government agent, yes, but one who was not very stable or competent, a lot seemed to slip by her vigil.

John was so BRAINWASHED (sorry George) that YOKO had to go into the Men's room with John when he took a pee at the studio.....

So she's a little possessive, so what? She may have been a little extreme, but I, for one, do not believe that Yoko Ono either was an intelligence agent or was involved in the murder of her third husband.

Yoko is such a witch, she may have been involved in John's death.

Yoko is such a witch, she may have been involved in John's death. Indeed- The Merry Widow. In any murder case, the prime suspect or suspects are those who directly benefit the most from the murder. Furthermore, worldwide statistics show that in over 90% of murders were committed by spouses and/or family members of the victim. Connect the dots.

;D Witch indeed. I've heard that she's into magic. Not white magic either. VERY scary woman... I'm pretty sure she was involved in John's death. She benefitted most from it..... Chris
