This is an excerpt from a conversation that radio disc jockey Robey Young, from WBAC-AM in New York City, had that was part of the Beatle Brunch interviews:
"...Jane was going to be married to Paul. Well, a friend of mine, Jay Marks, was a broadcaster and a writer for The Village Voice. He wrote a book called Rock and Other Four Letter Words. After I had done this thing about McCartney(referring to the voiceprints done by Henry Truby from the University of Miami on Paul), Jay said to me, standing on the street corner in New York, 'I got to tell you Robey. A funny thing. I was at a cocktail party for Paul McCartney and Jane Asher, for their engagement situation. I noticed that Paul was not paying any attention to Jane, but was being rather cozy with Linda Eastman, the photographer girl who had taken the pictures on a recent tour. I asked, 'What is this?' And I was told, ' Don't you know? That's not the boy she fell in love with. That's his replacement. It's all very hush hush you know.' And he (Jay Marks) is not pulling my leg he has credentials(sic). So there's a bunch of these little things that never came out"
Notice how things like this can happen and the truth can still be withheld so easily. That just shows you the power of the media, the ability to strongly influence people's beliefs no matter what the circumstance.

Do you know of a site with a transcript for this? I'd like to have it on the site, but I need to make sure it's authentic. Quite a find!

I don't know of any site but it can be documented in the book The Walrus Was Paul: The Great Beatle Death Clues by R. Gary Patterson. You can type in Beatle Brunch interviews on google and see if you come up with anything.

Very interesting indeed.
I've got a problem with Jane associating with Faul. She was a lovely young lady who had just lost the love of her life. Keeping quiet is one thing. But dating Faul is quite another. She couldn't have needed the money. Having once been young and romantic, there would have been NO WAY I'd date an imposter if my love died. She evem traveled with him! Yikes! It's against human nature, isn't it?
Anybody got a take on this? Or point me in the right direction.

She agreed to 'play the game' and pretend that Faul was Paul. It was part of the arrangement to keep suspicion down. And of course money was involved. They most likely paid her to keep quiet and also to continue dating 'Paul' to make it look as if nothing had happened.
I honestly wonder how long she was expected to do this(that is, had the incident with Faul and the Apple secretary not happened).

The "suspicion" meaning keeping the public in ignorance to prevent suicides?
I was under the impression that Jane was of the aristocracy. I found her lineage on the web and she's descended from one of Richard III's nephews, as I recall (proving he didn't kill them). So I figured she had money. Not necessarily so.
But traveling with Faul? That probably means they were doing "it." Yecch! I mean, how could she? But maybe she wasn't. Something really fishy there. The only thing that would make it make sense is if she were threatened. I'm just talking about the feminine psyche.
Like I said. Romantic young women usually can't be bought. Or young men for that matter. It makes me think she wasn't a very nice person really, taking money. Makes her little better than a prostitute. I mean she DATED him. For a WHILE! He must have had something going for him.
Did she and Paul have a falling out just prior to his death?
I'm not familiar with the story of Faul and the Apple secretary.
P.S. Wild pigs with guns couldn't get Faul into my bed after loving James Paul. Just so you'll know the angle I'm coming from.

The only thing that would make it make sense is if she were threatened. I'm just talking about the feminine psyche. It's likely she wasn't 'doing it' with Faul. She probably told Faul 'Hey I agreed to be seen in public with you but no sex!'. Unless she was attracted to him or lonely which makes less sense to me in this case. Like I said. Romantic young women usually can't be bought. Or young men for that matter. It makes me think she wasn't a very nice person really, taking money. Makes her little better than a prostitute. I mean she DATED him. For a WHILE! He must have had something going for him. She's a VERY nice person from what I've read. You never know, she could have been threatened with death like the others. In fact, she most likely was threatened with death. She probably only agreed to be with Faul in public. You know, to make it look like a relationship. Did she and Paul have a falling out just prior to his death? Not that I know of. I'm not familiar with the story of Faul and the Apple secretary. Supposedly she caught Faul in bed with the Apple secretary. The official story is that she caught Paul in bed with the Apple secretary and that is what broke Paul and Jane up. Of course, she was just angry at him because of all that she had sacrificed(she wasn't really allowed to grieve Paul). But you never know maybe she was having sex with Faul? P.S. Wild pigs with guns couldn't get Faul into my bed after loving James Paul. Just so you'll know the angle I'm coming from. What about Ringo?

As it turns out, Faul said in Anthology that, in all the years he'd been with her, they'd never had sex. Obviously, this means Paul and Jane probably buggered each other eyes' out and she suddenly became chaste when Faul popped up. He was very unlucky in all matters of getting the girl.

Jane Asher's being from the aristocracy almost certainly saved her life. Had she been 'low-born' she wouldn't have even been given the opportunity to play this sick charade, they would have just killed her.

Well, she's still alive.
The point is, she was in a family the intelligence agencies could approach and relate to and rely on. She might not have even been given the option if she was from a low-born family and viewed as a wild card. Of course, she was a more visible companion than, say, Tara Browne.

The point is....she could have been killed in a car crash and lost her hair....although she was a couple of notches on nobility and an actress or model or whatever she did/does....nobody would have though nothing about it really after the news had died down...."Paul McCartneys gal dies in car crash"...blah blah and that would have been the end...it doesn't seem logical to me that anyone would take the risk on such a person and keep them alive....remember the simplist plan works.....kill her in walks Lyn no prob....i just don't see that....

Well, gharryson, ordinarily I'd have to agree with you, but not in this case. Jane is a descendent of a King of England. That's pretty high. She undoubtedly has relatives who know Queen Elizabeth. These people stick together. And the queen is Bloodline. No intelligence agency would dare touch her without the queen's say-so, and you can take that to the bank.
Of course, she'd have to keep her mouth shut or all bets would be off (like Diana).

Plus, seeing Faul with Jane would help further the illusion that he was Paul.
"No, no, that man's Paul McCartney. Look, he with's Jane Asher! Nothing to see here."

But we did 't see much of Cynthia Lennon, did we? Off topic, but in this sense it applies: Ringo's wife and having a kid got a bit of press, then nothing---it seems like it was so important to show Paul & Jane; many more photos post '66. We don't see other Beatle wife/girlfriends (during that time)as much, do we? Or have I missed all the pix?
