someone said come together was about john's last memory about paul. im suggesting the possibility of a different meaning. maybe the song is about paul's corpse. Here come old flat top He come groovin' up slowly He got jew jew eyeballs (they sometimes replace eyeballs on corpses) He one holy rollers (he's holy cuz he's in heaven) He got hair down to his knees (hair continues to grow after death) Got to be a joker He just do what he please
He wear no shoeshine (dont they bury people without shoes?) He got toe jam football He got monkey finger (a corpse's fingers curl up like a monkeys) He shoot Coca Cola He say I know you, you know me One thing I can tell you is You got to be free Come together, right now over me (telling the other beatles to gather over his grave)
He bag production He got walrus gumboot (his corpse looked like a walrus) He got Ono sideboard He one spinal cracker He got feet down below his knees Hold you in his armchair You can feel his disease (reference to IBS. could also be a play on words "you can feel he's deseased") Come together, right now over me
He roller coaster He got early warning He got muddy water He one Mojo filter He say one and one and one is three (only 3 beatles left) Got to be good looking 'cause he's so hard to see (so hard to see cuz he's buried!) Come together right now over me

"Come together right now over me" - the prayer to bring Paul's soul into Faul's body?

...He got joo-joo eyeball......animation loading...please wait... The face image here is made up of reflected items: trees, poles, (a corkscrew?!). While it certainly conveys the message, this image is "artistic license". I say this as one experienced in looking at photographs taken by a ghost-hunting group I belong to. And interestingly enough, ghosts actually use the same things: branches tree limbs, and other naturally occuring phenomena in making their images clear in photographs in many instances! So if this occurred by coincidence and was not deliberately placed on the glass by the video producers, this is an image courtesy of Paul's ghost!!!

Byrd, that is a fantastic point you brought up re: the "ghost' theory. that would mean paul is sending a message thru the image.Way to go!

Yer Blues (Lennon/McCartney)
Yes I'm lonely wanna die Yes I'm lonely wanna die If I ain't dead already Ooh girl you know the reason why.
In the morning wanna die In the evening wanna die If I ain't dead already Ooh girl you know the reason why.
My mother was of the sky My father was of the earth But I am of the universe And you know what it's worth I'm lonely wanna die If I ain't dead already Ooh girl you know the reason why.
The eagle picks my eye The worm he licks my bone I feel so suicidal Just like Dylan's Mr. Jones Lonely wanna die If I ain't dead already Ooh girl you know the reason why.
Black cloud crossed my mind Blue mist round my soul Feel so suicidal Even hate my rock and roll Wanna die yeah wanna die If I ain't dead already Ooh girl you know the reason why.

Another meaning for "Come Together"....(just an idea)
Perhaps it is a clue leading to John's death (like a prophecy type thing)
At the start of the song he whispers what sounds like "shoop" but it's actually "shoot me!" (and he indeed was shot....)
Also, the chorus, "Come together, right now, over me..." Well before John's death the other Beatles weren't exactly on very good terms with each other....they had all of those problems.. Allen Klein etc etc, and although they had sort of resolved them, there was still tension between Faul/Paul and George and also Faul/Paul and Ringo. However, when John died, they put their differences behind them and became better friends again. They "came together" "over John".....

I wonder if the "mustache" in the face photo above (that corkscrew looking thing) is the same thing that is shown in the GENERAL section in the title "death scene" picture of the long and winding road; that crooked post that sort of leans toward the road. The top of the mouth (above) looks like it is made from a silo or tower of some sort in the distance. If we were at the "death scene" location (in the road) looking in the direction of the leaning post, would we see a silo in the distance? I suspect we would! ("Why don't we do it in the road")

Miss Mustard --- I'm giving you a big hug!!!!! ;D Number Nine and myself were discussing the chilling 'Shoot Me' just like last week; there is no coincidence in this life is my new mantra. These terrible references which 'came together' as sickening pieces to the most macabre puzzle after John's assassination resulted in me not being able to listen to Beatles/John music for YEARS after his death. It hurt very deeply. yes, he indeed says 'SHOOT ME' in that heavily echoed/delayed effect. Even if he half meant shoot me with heroin, it doesn't matter. The prophesy was fulfilled, same with 'Ballad of John and Yoko.' John was obviously cosmically aware, and most likely very psychic. In fact, he used to tell John Greene that he felt being shot was akin to a modern day crucifixion....and that he always felt he would be shot to death. This is the same professional psychic retained by the Lennons in 1980, who had a vision months before December of JOHN covered in his own blood... Happiness is NOT a warm gun. I have never, and shall NEVER own a gun. Of all the people in this world that you'd want to live, John was very very near the TOP of the list, right there with our immediate families.... JOHN WAS ASSASSINATED BECAUSE, IN LARGE PART, PAUL WAS DEAD.

The only niggling problem I have with the PID picture featured on this thread is that it looks very much like a corpse in the back of a hearse, being taken away from the site at which the body was found.....but common sense tells me who would drive away from a death scene with the corpse in the back, fully exposed, not in a body bag or such?
Add to that the corpse just happened to be James Paul McCartney! The pic looks quite authentic, even seems very much to have that intangible '1966' vibe (though I cannot explain why i say that, hence the 'intangible').
You'd think they would have covered him up, put the body in a bag or something...UNLESS this was intentional, say for police crime scene documentation.
IF THERE'S THIS PHOTO, LOGIC DICTATES THERE ARE MORE OUT THERE SOMEWHERE...

Ian, Look at that picture. It is made up of reflected items. If anyone took pictures of Paul's demise and funeral, you can bet that those pictures are well hidden, and under lock and key.

Yes, I can clearly see the reflected telephone pole and the trees, and the sky next to that...reflected off the glass of the window, but the body of Paul in the back is not a reflected image, in my opinion. It's really there.

That's a tough one. I looked at it from both points of view and see it both ways. But moreso that it's real. It looks like some animals were chewing (hate to say that) and thats where the upper lip used to be.
