When We Was Fab Back then long time ago when grass was green Woke up in a daze Arrived like strangers in the night Fab - long time ago when we was fab Fab - back when income tax was all we had Caresses fleeced you in the morning light Casualties at dawn And we did it all Fab - long time ago when we was fab Fab - you are my world you are my only love And while you're in this world The fuzz gonna come and claim you But you mo better wise When the buzz gonna come and take you away Take you away Take you away The microscopes that magnified the tears Studied warts and all Still the life flows on and on Fab - long time ago when we was fab Fab - but It's All Over Now Baby Blue Fab - long time ago when we was fab Fab - like this pullover you sent to me Fab And You've Really Got A Hold Me fab - long time ago when we was fab Don't know how to interpret this in the eyes of PID. Maybe Paul sent George a pullover one time.

A possible reference to the initial PiD rumors, and when people started studying the changes in "Paul's" appearance?

"Fab - like this pullover you sent to me" Maybe Paul sent George a pullover one time. Or maybe it was a coverup! ==================================== "Caresses fleeced you in the morning light" Fleece? Interesting choice of words. Fleece comes from sheep... William Sheppard/Shepherd... Billy Shears... the Ram cover. Check out Eggman's photo, where Faul is photographed producing fleece, here: 60if.proboards21.com/index.cgi?board=faul&action=display&thread=1065098441==================================== "And while you're in this world The fuzz gonna come and claim you But you mo better wise When the buzz gonna come and take you away" The buzz is good. To bad the fuzz in this world don't want you to experience the buzz. But the Beatles always give me a buzz... >Presses "play" on Beatles CD< >sips tea< >sips tea< Ah yes, the Beatles knew the buzz was good. Mo better wise, for sure... >cough< ;D

I see a lot of PID references in this song:
Back then long time ago when grass was green Woke up in a daze Arrived like strangers in the night"
Seems to refer to the time when it was The Beatles and became just Beatles after "waking" from the haze of finding out James Paul was dead and they were suddenly "strangers in the night" with the additions of Faul.
Caresses fleeced you in the morning light Casualties at dawn And we did it all
This is really speculative, but fleeced is a slang word for cheated or "pulled the wool over your eyes. Maybe then a reference to the immediate morning after begining of the cover-up. "And we did it all" an admission that yes, we deliberately put the clues out there.
And while you're in this world The fuzz gonna come and claim you But you mo better wise When the buzz gonna come and take you away
I see a lot of different meanings here. 1. The police came and got JP's body and took him away. 2. Buzz is a slang word for gossip. It might be a stretch but I can see it meaning when the word gets out the truth is going to be known -- a possible threat/warning to Faul. 3. Fuzz being slang for police, if Faul was indeed a Candian police officer, it could mean that policeman staked his claim on JP's life. 4. Buzz could be short for Buzzard -- the bird's that prey on dead carcasses.
The microscopes that magnified the tears Studied warts and all Still the life flows on and on
The most obvious meaning to me is the PID believing fans examining the clues and mourning for JP, even as Faul continued the disguise.
And You've Really Got A Hold Me
Yes, the original song was written long before 1966, maybe George realized the new meaning of the words. Perhaps, I know the threats against me if I tell the truth.
