I remember looking into that a few weeks ago, and I did see a web page that mentioned that they took their name from the song of the same name from MMT. So there is an awareness of its origin, but does it go beyond "gee that would be a cool name for our band"? I don't know myself, sorry...

Hi. Yeah, I've got a DCFC album. They're a pretty good indie band. I don't think they particularly care about PID or 60IF - they probably just thought it was a cool name.
Mind you, the lead singer was involved in an electronic side project called The Postal Service, and sang the following:
"One night I had a strange dream Where everything was exactly as it seemed There was never any mystery Over who shot John F. Kennedy It was just some guy with something to prove Slightly bored and severely confused, he steadied his rifle with his target in the centre And became famous on that day in November"
So maybe he's got some interest in conspiracies, eh? Maybe somebody could direct him over here?
