Two songs that John wrote about Faul were "Crippled Inside" and "How Do You Sleep". OK, John later backpeddled on the first one, saying he was talking about himself. There's no denying the second one however. The first two stills are from Crippled Inside. There are a number of close shots of ears, noses and eyes, using various people who were on the set. Two examples below, but the lower one almost looks like Faul. It's more striking when you see the video in motion, that face pops up for a few frames, and you say hey was that Faul just now? Not suggesting it is for real of course, it's more like a Faux Faul, or a reminder of Faul. The next stills are from "How Do You Sleep". It's interesting how masks figure prominently in this video, John is wearing one while shooting pool. (first pic) Then there is a camera pan of a bunch of masks hanging on the wall, ending with John wearing that scary looking mask. (second pic) Then we the Mona Lisa with white tape framing her face, then the next shot is of the painting with white tape in a cross over her face. All this while that song how do you sleep is playing, what does it mean?

The last Mona Lisa pic looks as if the left eye has been altered and dropped a bit. You might say to look more like...JPM. Altered the same way people say post '66 P(f)aul pics have been altered. Very interesting......

Heck, even I have to admit that the second 'Mona Lisa' looks different. Not that I am buying the theory. L* JL was an interesting sort of guy, eh?

Yes John Lennon was interesting that's for sure. I think the mask theme which runs through the duration of the video is the most important. What is the definition of mask? there are many in the dictionary but here are some: To cover in order to conceal, protect, or disguise. To conceal one's real personality, character, or intentions. That which disguises; a pretext or subterfuge. And This: Death Mask: a cast of the face of a dead person. John Lennon spoke in code here perhaps or maybe not, this is more presentation than conclusion... And speaking of the Mona Lisa, look at this animated gif taken from here: www.ncsu.edu/midlink/feb98/mona.html That looks familiar..

Well, the second Mona Lisa that is covered by strips does "illustrate" the idea that we only need to see so much of the picture of the famous face in order to draw the conclusion that is IS in fact, the famous face (whether it is or is not.) Partial reveal of a well known pictographic image WILL stimulate the mind to draw in , or "reconstruct" from the memory, the REST of the missing details. The brains of most people work this way; we must complete the picture to feel satisfied with our assessment. A more subconcious part of the face-mapping memory part of the brain will fill in the holes. I am not totally sure that the second picture IS the real, well-known Mona Lisa. Da Vinci took some other stabs at that subject, right? Also, the Mona Lisa herself(himself) has other images PAINTED over. (i.e., there are covered images in the Mona Lisa that experts could, but would never, strip away layers in order to find them. In those rennaissnce years, one had to conserve good canvasses, I guess.........) So, you think it's the Mona Lisa because, based on the obscured image that you ACTUALLY see, your brain's "obsession" with completing the details NEEDS to finish the picture for you in order for you not to suffer that "perplexed" feeling...................
And yes, I have seen before the idea put forth that the Mona Lisa was DaVinci's self portrait. His youthful face, as a woman--there is a cypher in that, no? The diameter of the fore-skull, the forehead measurement all the way 'round, the ORBITUS MAXIMAS, follows certain sex-specific proportions. In the male of the human species, it is a certain amount larger that the lower parts of the head. In the female, not so, the forehead "ring" may be the largest circumference, but it is not AS proportionately larger around as the males. And I think I read that teenage males foreheads grow; a 30 year old man's orbitus maximus is larger than when he was a teenager, or a youthful 18 or so. This is how we are able to instinctively recognize maleness vs femaleness, and older males from younger ones from a distance sometimes. This is why age reducing surgery can't take away your 'adultness'. Your forehead is just too big around. And, not to mention, a giant forehead will give a drag queen away every time (along with the Adam's apple) Some men strive so hard to appear younger. Some guys work so hard to appear to be ladies.
All in all, I recommend bangs.

Perplexed - WOW. You could certainly be right about that. Although I'm not sure that was what Lennon was trying to get across, that's quite an astute observation of how so many people are still fooled by Faul.
