Is Paul dead? -Mabey Is the current Paul just a lookalike? -Mabey Are there clues of Paul being dead? -In my opinion, Yes. A lot of the clues are probably coincidences but take a look at these (you've probably seen them before, but anyway): www.quipo.it/mccartney/m70big.jpgLife is a bowl of cherries....to bad these cherries aren't in the bowl. www.rarebeatles.com/photospg/verytos.jpgRingo is probably the shorter candle. I wonder who's being blown out? I'd like to see whoever designed that picture explain that THAT'S a coincidence. I hate to say this, but I consider this proof that certian people wanted to get the message across. Has something similar to this been posted before? -Pobably If so, am I sorry? -Yes

Interesting, and very clever of Polydor to cash in on that rumor.

from Internet:
The Very Together cover helped fuel the "Paul Is Dead" hysteria - it was released just as the hoax was breaking and featured four candles, one of them put out - supposedly signifying Paul dying. The album compiled several live Hamburg recordings along with some of the 'studio' recordings with Tony Sheridan.
Side A (LP) 1. Ain't She Sweet Ager/Yellen 2. Cry for a Shadow Harrison/Lennon 3. Let's Dance 4. My Bonnie traditional 5. If You Love Me, Baby 6. What'd I Say?
Side B (LP) 1. Sweet Georgia Brown 2. The Saints 3. Ruby Baby 4. Why Sheridan/Compton 5. Nobody's Child Cohen/Foree 6. Ya Ya

And anyone who bought this album would have wondered if the Beatles were even on it. They needed a gimmick to sell this uninspired batch of oldies. Brilliant marketing, proof of nothing except a rumor.

True. But just being devil's advocate, one could also argue since this was his first solo record the empty "bowl of cherries" might signify the Beatles as being over. Afterall, wouldn't being a Beatle mean life is a bowl-full-o-cherries (at least most people would assume)? Could have been his way of saying it ain't all roses being a Beatle anymore...
Also, assuming Faul went whacko and released this solo record outside the boundaries of his "contract" (see 60IF), why would he draw attention to himself as an imposter by releasing such an obvious cover revelation? Some will probably say Illuminati (leaving clues) but supposedly wasn't Faul at this point full of himself and enjoying the I-am-Paul trip? Doesn't make sense to me to leave himself so open to scrutiny on his first "unauthorized" solo record.

And on the McCartney album, Paul did that interview with himself, wrote and answered his own questions about the Beatles. All negative about the Beatles working together again. As this was a time of high negativity between band members, you might take the cherry picture as him saying life is not just a bowl of cherries.
And on a completely different topic (but may still tie in to the no coincidence idea), In Blackbird Singing, Paul’s recent book of lyrics and poems, the only pre-1967 song he includes is Yellow Submarine.
For the PID believers, that will probably be huge, for others, merely interesting.

No, he also includes "Here, There and Everywhere" and "Eleanor Rigby." Those are the other titles I can remember off the top of my head.
